I like the variety of programs and quality of instructors. I also like the facilities and equipment. The Y does a good job of staying current with upgraded equipment.

VARIETY
I am a senior and I enjoy the activities for that group. Elena is very active and enthusiastic with the group Like the trips around Houston, like meeting people about my age. I love the class of Streach and Flexibility with Richard, we have a good group there too.
I like the information classes for seniors about state planning, Social Securty news, defensive driving , and what is new and changes for seniors.
I enjoy your weightlifting equipment, your cardio machines, and your free towels.
Also, that guy Mustafa is great with customer service! Seriously, good score there.
I love the women’s section. I also have taken yoga classes and the instructors are very good. They watch and help those that need it. I am new to yoga classes and do not want to hurt myself, so this is important to me. I want to try other classes too.

The Les Mills classes at this Y are some of the best around. Great instructors who are competent, high energy and fun. The Healthy Living Director, Monica Ward, does a great job making sure classes are done with excellence.
I don't join in any of the programs but from I can see other members enjoy the programs they are part of...I see a lot of people that smile
For the class I am attending i.e. Low impact cardio by Chris Jones and Cindy Walker are great for my age category 65+
In addition the sub instructors also good/great because we got to listen to different music category and learnt new movement and information.

I love both the mat pilates classes on Monday and Wednesday - Both Sara and Carol are excellent teachers - very thorough and make class enjoyable. I started pilates with very bad back pain, and both classes have helped me strengthen my core so much that the back pain has almost disappeared.
Family oriented and easy to attend.
Variety - in classes, people, ages, activities
Good spin classes, this is really all I go this Y for. Loved Hans on Sat mornings - but Rachel S at 9:25 is pretty good, also Debbie. Please don't give Pete the Sat 8am prime slot, he is just not that good and that's such a prime time. Hans used to fill every seat in the class.
I just use the pool, but I love to come and swim laps and read in the shade. I like the snack bar. Most of the employees are nice and helpful. I have also enjoyed massages occasionally.
