The pool.
Love the cleanliness of the gym and lots of cardio machines. Thanks for the childcare because I cannot work out unless someone is watching my child
Michelle Gendron is an incredible instructor and trainer.
I've always loved the place. Go check it out for yourself and see what I mean.
Helpful and friendly teachers. Program of class helpful.
Everything
Everything. It would be nice if some gym etiquette were enforced. ie. Don't linger on machines while playing with mobile phones. Done hog machines, let folks work in in-between your sets.
Have not participated in programs or group activities.
Community vibe and friendly staff in a convenient location, great basketball gym and enough equipment to get in a good workout.
Fun and interesting
Pickleball
Tellepsen YMCA is very helpful in answering questions and working with you on the many different activities for families to use at the Y. Thank you!
I like most of the exercises I’m saying that’s for all
The group classes are great.
I would have liked more group day or short trips to be organized.
Like exploring some easy trails.
The coaches were great and the facilities were clean and functional. My duaghter enjoyed her classes
Instructors.
Teachers are good. Staff is caring. Parking is free. Building is clean and well kept.
I so like the staff. From the first floor when we check in to the "work out" facility the staff does a wonderful job taking care of the building and all the equipment.
My wife and I also sometimes use the ping pong table on the floor that has the basketball court. We have great fun there and that equipment is also so well cared for.
Please, keep up the good work. This world so needs places like the Y and there are so many facilities that would be so blessed with a staff like the downtown Y.
Everything good.
Convenient times; knowledgeable instructors; variety of classes; accessible parking
I take the senior classes and Zumba. I also walk and do laps. I have not seen a lot of other classes that would be suitable for me, however. I go to Foster for tai chi.
I love my trainer, Michelle, and how she figures out what I need to work on. I have enjoyed Silver Sneakers a few times, but that class is always full and hard to register for. Some of the Les Mills classes look too difficult for me.
Group exercise in the early evening
Convenient, on time, clean facility, friendly instructors, variety of equipment.
Parking, while crowded, is easy. Checking in with my cell phone is easy. The locker room is clean. The pool is clean and the lifeguards cheerful and helpful. Little kindnesses matter, like the person at the check-in desk who says, “Have a good workout” when I arrive, and “Have a great day” when I leave. The Tellepsen YMCA get all the little things right—and all the big things.
Yvonne Saunders is the first instructor/trainer whom we met in an aquatic aerobics class. From there, we began signing up for her yoga and wellness stretch classes (twice a week), and we arranged for her to be our private trainer twice a week as well. She is AMAZING, and for neophytes to wellness exercise, we are actually enjoying the journey while making noticeable improvements in our bodies. We also like to meet a close friend, who joined with her husband right after we did, to walk for an hour on Saturday mornings on the indoor track.
I especially like all the stretching and swimming classes Yvonne Saunders teaches, Michelle Gendron’s Silver Sneakers classes and Eloisa Blum de la Parra’s Zumba classes.
I do not participate in any programs or activities, but plan to participate in the near future.
I enjoy working out at the Downtown Y
