great facility, friendly people and staff ! thank you
What I really like about the downtown Y is the friendly and helpful staff, AND the group of trainers you've assembled. I have utilized one of the crew and she was wonderful.
If I had young children (mine is all grown up) I'd be a big fan of the summer children's programming. The crew you've assembled for that program is outstanding. They really know how to work with children. I'd avoided gym memberships my whole life - just didn't think I'd fit in in that environment. But the Y has totally changed my outlook and I am eternally grateful.
Now - what I think needs some attention. The time it takes to repair broken/out of service equipment. An example is the adductor/abductor machine, one of the "new" ones. In the past several weeks it has been out of service twice. The first time it was several weeks and shortly after it was put back in service it was taken out again. I know these machines get a ton of work and things like this will happen. You have a very popular place. But when a machine does go down, does it have to take weeks to get it back in service?
And the house keeping. I'm guessing most of the folks who workout on the 4th and 5th floors don't really care about the accumulated dust and grime that can be seen on the support beams and other surfaces when they're running on the 5th floor track. And I know getting cleaning crews in position to clean this up won't be easy...but honestly, can something be done? Please? At the very least could you check your AC filters or replace the filters with a type that can retain most of the dust and airborne particulate? Every time I see it it makes me wonder what I'm drawing into my lungs. Thank you for reading this. And I must admit, if nothing changes after you read this it's not going to change my habit of "hitting the Y." You guys have totally changed my life for the better. Honestly, I never thought in my wildest dreams that this old skinny nerd would ever join a gym and work out. Amazing.
Variety
Since I am handicapped, it is very important to feel comfortable and all the people and staff I have contact with are friendly and welcome me to the YMCA family. I am very pleased to find that kind of support in my pursuit of being healthy.
The facilities are very nice. There are a wide variety of programs and exercise classes offered that are open and friendly to all athletic abilities.
Excellent group fitness classes!!!
Activities are fun and informative. Classes are geared for specific needs and also offers social outlets. We look forward to going to the Y often and would definitely recommend it to all age groups.
The variety and the people/instructors
Mainly go for volleyball and it’s great. It would be nice if there were 2 different levels. A recreational level and then a advanced level. OR it would be nice if we had 2 courts to play on simultaneously for better play time.
I love the women's gym! It makes me feel so much more comfortable when working out. I also use your indoor track as well. It's really saved me from my allergies. Overall, the facilities are very cleanly, and the staff is quite friendly. I'm happy to have made this my fitness home!
I love the women's only room, the walking/jogging track and the indoor pool.
New acquisition of exercise machines!! Thanks for the upgrade!!!!

I mainly use the pool but have also used the racquetball courts. It’s a well run facility.
I like the dance classes. I wish there were early morning dance classes (Zumba, Nightclub Cardio) around 6:00 or 7:00 to do before work. They are all in the evening.
Love my Zumba class with Mary H.! Also enjoy yoga, Body Pump, indoor track, workout equipment. I like the positivity of the staff and diversity of the patrons.

Love the group classes & variety
The YMCA Tellepsen Summer Camp program has been fun for our kid and it offers the flexibility we need. Being able to pick him up without getting out of the car is great. He loves the field trips, made many friends, and most importantly he stayed active throughout the summer.
just used the gym but very nice facility
Workout classes
Amazing instructors
Everything that’s available for seniors, AOA.
I love the diversity that I see every time I walk in a group class, in age, race, nationality. There is no one culture, no one age group. I don’t feel intimidated, the Y is a gym I feel safe in, but it doesn’t even feel like a gym, more like a community.
There are a ton of classes throughout the day to work with my schedule. The equipment is always organized and in good shape. Instructors are energetic, friendly, and encouraging. I especially love Body Pump because they're always changing the routines so you don't get bored!
Excellent staff
A lot of different activities, clean locker rooms, a lot of weight training stations
I like the weight room.

Group classes are Awesome. Keeps me motivated!
