Great value, friendly staff
The coaching team is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, making it easy for new learners to feel comfortable and confident getting into the water.

Our Y is filthy with black mold or dirt in the ladies' locker room around the bottom of the walls.
I have repeatedly asked, shown to staff and been ignored by safety bars around ALL of the toilets. I would be happy to purchase said rails. Our requests have been ignored or denied. [As another note: There is one toilet area in the LITTLE GIRLS' locker room WITH handrails in one " stall. WHY?
Also, as of 4/9/26, the ONE CHAIR in the ladies' dressing area is missing. WHY?
Also, also, as of 4/9/26, the inside of the lockers is filthy. We need at least 1 spray bottle with disinfectant to try to make the lockers less dirty.
Also, also, also, as of 4/9/66, more safety mats need to be put at the pool entry/exit area. Slipping on the dripped water is a real safety hazard.
Also on a personal note: The tall, white-haired man who sits in the lobby area spouting his political AND religious beliefs should be asked to leave. He takes up another parking spot close to the entrance and talks loud enough to aggravate others at SE who don't listen to him, but that's unavoidable.
Southeast Y is great for swim classes and other water activities.
It is my opinion our Y just needs a little sprucing up.
The friendly atmosphere of the staff, instructors and fellow members. The staff and instructors engage with all members and treat members with respect and dignity. It is a great place where people are important and treated well.
I love the water exercise classes with Carla. I will be so happy when Southeast Y gets the EGym system. I go to Northeast for that
I love the activities for arts and crafts, the excursions with forever young and Virginia. She absolutely rocks!!! Now that the women's showers have been updated, there is much better pressure and much warmer water. I have met so many wonderful people at the Southesat Y. I don't socialize with anyone at the Northeast Y. Your forever Young program and class instructors really excel and your campus is much more convenient for me. I am looking forward to the outdoor pool being open because I go there almost every day.
I love the equipment room, there are a lot of great classes and the pool is nice. The soccer field is great for middle school JCPS games. Saunas by gender would be nice, a lot of women are uncomfortable in mixed saunas
