Group swimming was a small enough group for attention to all
Private swim lessons! Ethan was an amazing instructor. He was calm, fun and taught my daughter so many skills. She is swimming, floating, turning and using her arms better in the water. He was patient and trustworthy, and I’m so thankful for him!
This was the first time both of our kids did swim lessons anywhere. They were in the preschool group for two 2 week sessions. They both made great progress throughout their sessions. Our daughter was scared to go underwater when she started and is now able to swim several feet on her own underwater. We will definitely take lessons again!
Every instructor we've had or observed has good "class management" skills. They smile and seem very comfortable with children as well as with covering the curriculum each day. Our instructor was great in updating me about my children's progress after most lessons. She also did well to train 2 newer instructors on the job while making sure to still teach the group. From afar, I observed the swim team instructors really paying attention to and coaching their swimmers, who were training. I also like the amount of benches available for parents to sit during lessons.
I love that swim lessons were made available during summer camp sessions!
The attentiveness
Well the instructor Miss Castro was very ease with my son, and made the class very interesting and he engaged in every instructions was given.
The swimming instructors really concentrated on the weaknesses and strengths of my kids and took that into account when instructing. They were patient and real professional.
Adding more classes for Seniors was great!

Love the classes - they are top notch! A good variety for an excellent workout to achieve your fitness goals. Friendly knowledgeable staff, clean and safe facility with equipment and activities that offer something for everyone of all ages. Good value for the money.

I only use the indoor track and sometimes the outside track.
Love water aerobics and silver sneaker classes. SLO liked the line dances snd wish you could bring those back

And there is a Variety of Exercise Equipment and a Heated Swimming Pool, In General is a Great Exercise Facility and Very Nicely Equip.

Love that the pool opens early! I used to swim at the Ryan Family Y but they don't open the pool until 6. The extra hour makes a big difference in my work day!
The Benbrook YMCA Community Center staff/team members are fantastic! Specifically the after school and summer camp programs are great. Namely, the kids program supervisor Stephanie Johnson is phenomenal! She goes above and beyond to help and be there for our children as well as the parents. Miss Amy is one of kind, and likewise works tirelessly to care for our littles. Miss Rose and Mr. Tyler are uniquely wonderful as well! All team members have developed awesome rapport with our children and the parents. I always have a great experience and encounter every day I go to the Y. This is so refreshing and praise worthy.
