Hood County YMCA has been a godsend for my husband and me.
We have recently retired and are truly enjoying all the Y has to offer. My husband focuses on swimming laps in the pool, while I enjoy walking on the treadmill (both of us enjoying the opportunity to be inside out of this summer’s heat.) The Y offers something for everyone — all ages and all levels of physical activity. And the Y also offers an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Plus, all the employees at Hood County YMCA are so kind and nice and welcoming. We appreciate that very much.
Pool and group low impact exercise
I enjoy the water aerobics classes. I would like to see evening classes offered again.

Yoga! Differing times and instructors. Would love a Saturday yoga class!
I use the weight room and the treadmills. My wife uses the line dancing and Zumba classes. Enjoy the coffee area and most of all the friendly staff always very helpful.
I really love the pickleball association and BJ's yoga classes.

For the most part I think the hours of operation are good and make it easy to us the Y. The staff is friendly and attempts to be helpful.
We don’t use the programs or activities, we use the Y for individual exercise and fitness. But we have noted the facility as getting a bit crowded and on occasion an aggressive member in the weight room. Hopefully it doesn’t become a problem..

My think is water aerobics. I love Nancy's classes M-W-F and recommend it to everyone I speak to that's interested in the Y. My husband had triple bypass in late January and he has become a regular member utilizing the walking track and some of the exercise equipment while I do my thing.
We enjoy going to the "Y" and the satifaction of knowing we better for it and a lot healthier.
i like the staff whom i’ve gotten to know. in particular, Christy, Chrystal, Angela and the rest.
The type of exercise I am able to choose to fit my desired body needs.

Something got all ages
While I mostly use the indoor track for walking...I did Silver Sneakers until I had bouts with vertigo. Now with neuropathy, I plan to continue walking mostly. The Y offers so many options for all kinds of healthy pursuits. The staff is excellent. Am so glad to have such a wonderful and well managed facility right here in Granbury!
I like the variety of classes. My kids love the pool year round!
