The scheduling and the staff
I did not get into this business to sit behind a desk. I got into it because I genuinely believe that the best way to lead a care agency is to understand what caregiving actually feels like from the inside.
So I do shifts. I show up at clients' homes. I help with meals, I sit and talk, I make sure someone who might otherwise be alone that afternoon has a real human being in the room with them. And every single time I do, I am reminded of exactly why I chose this work.
What I love most about ComForCare Home Care San Diego & La Jolla is that we are not just sending people to fill a schedule. We are sending trained, thoughtful caregivers into some of the most vulnerable and important moments of a family's life. Seniors who want to stay safely at home in neighborhoods like La Jolla, Mission Hills, Bankers Hill, and Clairemont. Families caring for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's who need someone they can actually trust. Parents of children with special needs who finally get a break because we showed up through the San Diego Regional Center.
That is not a job. That is a calling.
And on the days when I put on my caregiver hat and walk through someone's front door, I feel it. Every time.

friendly staff is a plus but what i like most is the benefits that come with it. Its not just a job, You can turn this into a career if you wanted to!
I've been working for ComForCare for 10- 11 years now. Throughout those years I've had a good variety of clients.
The office staff is helpful and professional, and have been accommodating with my schedule.
I'm sure management gets PTO time and it would be nice if the caregivers could accrue that time as well. Especially those with children.
I believe that if you work 30 or 32 hours a week, you should at least accrue two hours a week, at the minimum.
Other than that, I have enjoyed my years working for ComForCare.
I work at Comforcare; I know I give outstanding care to our clients and I’ve heard from so many of my clients how great & compassionate the other caregivers are with them and their needs. It’s such a great feeling to know that our clients are treated with the upmost care.
