I enjoy the Over 50s at table tennis and the company of the members. The staff are pleasant and the centre is kept to a good standard.
Centre is very clean and staff are welcoming. Only downside is council vehicles parked in parking spaces near the entrance that could be used by those attending classes.
There are plenty of activities to choose from, for both adults and children. The staff are helpful if you have an issue. Love the spa, I also visit the gym regularly, although I have to pick my times as it can be busy. There's always a good vibe about the forum.

Very clean and good confidence when the gym is filled at times , I don’t feel like anyone is standing staring at me doing ky work outs which is amazing :)
I only ever have amazing things to say about the facilities at the valley leisure centre. I just joined after DW closed in 2020 and was reluctant as I didn't think I would enjoy a leisure centre gym as much as a private one. Although I have my own studio and teach yoga and fitness, the valley is my sanctuary and the gym equipment, spa facilities and staff get a 10 out of 10 from me. We have the family pass and my youngest can swim and play badminton while I work out.
My only request would be that I would love my 11 year old to work out with me as she is keen to join me in the gym in some capacity. We have been able to work out together in some of the Belfast Council gyms during quieter times that permit children under 13 to attend with parental supervision with the understanding that the weight machines are out of bounds. It would be amazing if the age could be lowered to match Belfast Council so I can make gym life a way of life for her now so she has a positive focus during these early impressionable years. If there are plans to lower your age limit to under 13, I would be keen to hear about it.
