I enjoying using the free weights, a lot of the Freemotion machines, and some of the Cybex machines. You offer great variety for weightlifting (although sometimes I wish you had 2 of some machines such as the seated leg press)!
I really enjoy the group fitness classes!
There's been a recent change of instructor for the Tues / Thurs 8:00 AM body pump class since Brian left. Brian is a great instructor and left big shoes to fill. I would like to give some feedback about his replacement as well as a sub while acknowledging that it's hard to step into someone else's class when they were so well-liked.
Jenny is very enthusiastic and a quality instructor. She clearly loves body pump, cares about the students, provides quality instruction, and wants us all to have a good workout. Would someone kindly talk to her about her volume and tone while using the microphone? She tends to get enthusiastic and yell into the mic which makes it very difficult to understand what she's saying as well as having a general tone of "screeching" - which I personally tune out.
Warren has subbed for this class in the past. I have tried to call the program director to discuss this, left a voicemail and never received a return call. Warren is a very distracted instructor whose behavior has bordered on inappropriate. There was a time in class about a month ago that he put his hands on several students to emphasize their "guns" (biceps) without asking for consent to be touched. He gets into student's personal space at times and in this same class about a month ago, he stood in front of me and stared at me while yelling what I assume was meant to be motivational words. I let him know I didn't appreciate him being in my space and he moved away.
Warren tends to frequently leave the platform to wander around the class. He also doesn't seem to be able to actually do the entire workout with the class which at times makes it very difficult to know what is being done / what the exercise should look like. I will no longer attend classes with Warren for all of the above stated reasons.
Coaches are kind and all inclusive. It’s to help Bill teamwork. Just a nice environment.
