I’m mostly there for machines. And it’s never too crowded. Locker rooms are very nice too.
I only used the weight lifting equipment and machines. I found the experience to be great with duplicate sets of weights and some machines available. The availability of areas for stretching is very nice compared to some of the Y locations. The front desk staff was quite pleasant when I came in and made sure to wish me a great day as I exited. That was very nice!
Your classes & instructors are amazing!
I signed up got the basketball gym so that I can shoot after workouts. It’s in close proximity to my job so it’s easy to get to. The only thing I don’t like is the parking situation which is understandable because it is in the downtown area.
I like Zumba, and I wish we could get our Sat morning class back. I miss it very much, I have to drive now for class.
I lap swim and I like it when there are clean towels (seen an improvement in this so thank you)
The facility provides a wide variety of fitness classes that challenge me and keep me interested in coming back.

Towels!

I've been going to the OTR Y almost since it opened. I do have two current issues, #1 since later last year towels haven't been consistently available. I'd guess 1/4 of my visits they are out of towels. I sweat, a lot, and not having a towel isn't great both for myself and other patrons if I can't dry myself off. #2, this is less of an issue but at some point last year the light in the steam room was turned on. IDK if I'm the only one with a preference of having that light off to make it more relaxing atmosphere. If its possible, could that light be turned off again? Its been off most of my time as a Y member.
I like being able to schedule a swim at an hour that meets my needs.

Swimming
I like the feel. There is great energy and the natural light throughout the space makes it enjoyable to work out.
Great classes - Marks boot camp and Amy’s body pump are my favorites
SS is fun, consistent, low impact. Strength and Balance does a better job of keeping the work out fun and challenging. Should add more classes. Yoga with Mary has a following so she should add more classes.
A Y person should be more available to demonstrate nautilus.

Staff is great , it’s clean and classes are plenty with good instructors!
Instructors are encouraging and have alternative exercises for beginners. All the members are friendly and we are like a workout family
