Handball
I utilize the gym only at this time but from the time I walk thru the door and when leaving the staff is friendly and attentive. Machines are always working or quick to be fixed if there is an issue. Also very clean. With different options available these are the reasons why this location of the ymca is my continued gym and family.
I love the activities for kids in the late afternoons / evenings beyond Child Watch, so that I can get some exercise, but they can too! I also love the warm and welcoming environment in the sports programs.

I like the large room with enough machines so that you don't have to wait for a machine. I also like the variety of machines available to work all muscle groups.
Exercise class
There are great options for classes. I enjoy the instructors in the water classes. Also when weight training the trainers are helpful as well

There are a lot of classes and different times, which to accommodate various schedules.
I go to 10am water aerobics class. It is wonderful!! Especially Mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays!!
Hixson ymca has a great family friendly environment! The people that work there are very professional and a great service oriented culture.
Clean & Friendly
I like the staff (cleaning, front desk, lifeguards, class teachers, etc) - always friendly and knowledgeable.
What I appreciate most about the programs and activities is that there is something for all ages. As a senior, I’m still comfortable using all the equipment and pool along with cheering for my granddaughter at her volleyball games. It’s truly family friendly.
I really love all of the classes that are available! I only wish that some of the classes were offered on multiple days or at a variety of times.
