I like the interaction with other members and staff
It pretty much has programs everything you need
Plenty to do. Clean environment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I like that you have many options for children and adults and they are affordable
I enjoy the water exercise classes. I have mild arthritus and it helps quite a bit.
I like the socializing, the swimming pool for lap swimming, and the water fitness classes.
The people are warm, encouraging, expert at what they do. They make every visit a pleasure!
The facilities are nice and clean. I am new, so haven't explored everything yet. Impressed with the pool, ladies locker room and the sauna so far.
One things that I had a problem with is the steps in the pool area. I didn't expect any steps. I walk with a rollator after both knees being replaced twice. I expected that every YMCA would be ADA compliant. While I understand that is difficult for older building to change. I had thought it would be a priority.
On my first visit to the pool area, I got trapped trying to get from the pool into the ladies locker room. I didn't know there were different ways to get there. I couldn't open the heavy (fire?) door and go up the step with my rollator. A nice person came by and held the door for me. They showed me a different way to get in that had no steps.
Just wanted to mention this. But, overall, I couldn't be more happy with joining the Campbell County Y! Thank you for serving the community in such a worthy way!
Very friendly staff and programs for people
There are so many programs for all age levels and activity levels. Would love more workout classes in the evening.
Group classes
Love Carolina's Pilates class
Swim
I like the pool. that's really all I do there. But lifeguards are diligent and friendly. and locker room is clean and well lighted.
I haven’t gotten familiar with all the programs available yet. I’m interested in swimming and other physical activities.
The variety
Clean, nice facilities
Mandy is a great instructor!
Moved to area and a neighbor told us about the local YMCA and the programs. I signed my 7yo son up for a few weeks of summer camp and he love it because there were so many activities throughout the day to keep him busy. We currently go to goldfish swim school, but have canceled and will be doing swim lessons at the Y instead
Diversity and social interaction
I love the sauna and the exercise room and the gym and the outside swimming pool. The staff there are very friendly and sweet. I really enjoy coming here to exercise and I really enjoy getting in the sauna. It helps to burn off a few extra calories sweat and water weight.
Love your activities, but the sign up for Silver Sneakers class is absolutely horrible!
The late hours during the summer. The accessibility and convenient location. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
I grew up going to the YMCA, my mom and dad have a tile on the wall (Garry and Shirley Adams), and I have loved it my entire life. it is the best pool around (everyone I talk to says that as well). I am honored to live not too far away. I just got my new membership recently and plan to stay!
I like that there are a number of different group exercises and activities to get involved in and as someone who has mobility issues and suffers with pain daily I really enjoy that there is a class that caters to me as well and that’s the water aerobics. I can be in the water where I’m weightless and still have the opportunity to exercise like a normal person.
Swimming pool
