Love that they have a lot of weightlifting equipment and racquetball courts
Well organized with lap pool usage and procedures.
It’s a great clean safe environment. The counselors are wonderful and kind. The Y is a happy place and the people of all ages are friendly and fun to be around. I love the pool and the lifeguards are always seriously on duty. The membership costs are very reasonable
Outdoor Exercise Classes (Victor is the best!) and how safe I feel working out inside. Lots of staff constantly cleaning, everyone wearing a mask to and from machines, and it isn't busy at all, even without an appointment system. I'm impressed and glad to be back!!

I liked everything!! It's very family friendly and my kids love going there, especially in the summer.
Wonderful instructors vey motivating
It has something for every age group!
Convenient, reasonable rates for the fees and variety of classes.
I was super pleased to see that the Pasadena Y has a complete separate (and 8 lanes at that) lap pool! I will keep that in mind next time at the Arnold U with crowded lanes.
I like the the variety of classes, especially the aqua classes. I enjoy the fact that the schedules allow people to take advantage of the classes no matter what there schedules are.
My kids always have a wonderful time in the child care and that makes it so much easier for this mom of 5 to take care of herself.
I was choosing between Pasadena YMCA & Arnold YMCA. I realize you have the same missions, etc. However, three things made me choose the Pasadena YMCA:
I. I wanted to be in the LiveStrong Program and had problems with finding out info in the community. A friend shared it with YMCA Program Coordinator in Pasadena and she got me to Karen and Mary! BINGO! I have been accepted and already know this is a good program for me.
2. When I cam into the facility to meet with Karen, i liked the attitudes of the staff i encountered. They project, "I like it here. This is my job. You will like it here." To that I say, That attitude as staff are involved in many things, portrays to the prospective and current members that they ARE in the right place.
3. The CEO and Program Coordinator said WELCOME to our group Tuesday evening. Now that's what I want in my community YMCA - that's what it was like growing up as a member in my tiny town of Elkton, MD. The persons responsible for our Pasadena YMCA care enough to say hello to a new group. They are happy, intelligent and personable professionals. You know this YMCA is successful and they want MORE not less success for the members.
Childcare for my 8-week old son.
Wonderful staff, excellent facilities.
So far we love the Y in Pasadena and recommend for anyone.
Great staff. The facility is fantastic and clean. The equipment is in great condition and the pool area is great. Class instructors are very friendly and hopeful. Would highly recommend people to check the place out and join.
The range of activities for the community

Right now with public health considerations, I'm happy that the evening times when I am in the gym are very uncrowded. Using a mask and cleaning machines will help us all stay safe. I could feel that I was not getting enough exercise to keep strength without the gym. I hope I am going to get rid of a few pounds of blubber gained during the shut down. I count on the Y to keep my health through exercise. Thank you for keeping the Y as a friendly place.
