I like the equipment and the variety
I love the Y. We recently rejoined the Y in Pasadena last week. We were long time members but due to having to join another gym for one of my kids swim teams, we unfortunately had to cancel our Y membership a little over a year ago. Once we returned, I love how the staff remembered my kids and were still so friendly. The Y is such a family oriented gym and they really make the entire family feel welcome. There is so much to do for adults and the kids.
We would not have cancelled if we could have suspended our account until June 2026. We spend the winters in Florida in an area that does not have any YMCA facilities.
The Pasadena MD facility is first rate.

New machines
The gym is conveniently located. There is a fun variety of classes and the other gym-goers are friendly. Everyone is just there to exercise and I never feel like I’m being judged or looked at.
The childcare is great and I appreciate the spaces for stretching and other floor based exercise
I love all of the water exercise classes!!! I also love the new EGym. There are so many different classes to take and it’s only 15 minutes from my house. It’s perfect. The people that work. There are also very helpful. Thank you to everybody at the Y.

I use the pool in Pasadena and it is always clean and well guarded. The temp seems to be more consistent lately also. In years past, there was always a lot of variation.

I have a wonderful experience every time I go to the Y. The ladies in the child care center are friendly and the staff at the front desk are welcoming.

I was very happy to see that the Y brought back a Smith machine when it purchased new equipment.This made me very excited about staying with the Y when I know the membership dues will be going up.It would be great if there was a permanent bench that stayed tihe matching. The E gym is novel, but not yet a fan of it. It would be nice if the management made a video of how to use the new machines and posted it on YouTube. Just a suggestion.
Good people Good work out atmosphere
The Pasadena location is huge. We loved the outdoor that has a dome. The staff is also extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
The instructors motivate me.
Have been a member for over 18 years. And the most recent changes and upgrades to the fitness floor have been amazing. Am so thankful the personal trainers and fitness staff (exclusively AJ and Becky W) listened to clients and members and took the suggestions. With their (AJ and Becky W) knowledge of the industry, clients needs and wants they were instrumental in moving the requests “up the line” and making it happen. The fitness center could not run without their knowledge, experience and the relationships they have with members and clients. BOTH are invaluable to the Y in Pasadena!

Family friendly!
The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The building is super clean. I'm looking forward to coming more regularly and participating in some of the instructor led programs.
The staff is welcoming I’ve enjoyed the two classes I’ve take so far and my son really enjoys his swim lessons.
