I really love the welcoming atmosphere. I recently noticed a sign in a couple of places that emphasizes the Y as a welcoming place - I can't remember the wording exactly, but it's by the bathroom and near the front desk. I was really impressed by the fact that it was there and putting that welcoming, inclusive language - accepting of all people, no matter who they are - front and center. That's really important to me and it's why I like coming to they Y rather than any old big-box gym.
I also love the group X classes. Shari, Julia, Bada, Josie - their classes are wonderful. Katina's water fitness class is also so much fun!
The open and caring environment, numerous classes offered that various daily, and the upgraded space.
I love the people, the community, the programming, the mission, the accommodating class schedule, the pleasant facility...I love it all!
Easy access, friendly staff, clean and convenient
As someone who was never very athletic growing up, I appreciate the the expert advice from staff and the non-judgmental atmosphere.
Isaac the trainer and staff person that I interacted with was knowledgeable, courteous and professional!
Everything, but mostly the fact that everyone using the equipment has been really chill so far. Mean patrons are the biggest turnoff for people just starting out at the gym, and this Y has managed to avoid that.
Fun and learning activities for the kids.
The facility is clean, recently updated, equipment working properly and available.
There are plenty of classes to join. The staff is incredible, helpful, professional and friendly.
Excellent support and equipment, frequent, diverse classes, friendly people working out whenever we come in, always something going on and a great group of “future athletes” that wave from their line as they go from one activity to another. Alice, Alexandra and Eric are among the friendly, knowledgeable, and available people who are there to help, give classes and answer questions. Also a very diverse group of folks exercising on any given day.
morning water aerobics, esp. Kavita & Daryl, friendliness of staff & clients, cleanliness of pool, showers & dressing room
The Y has help me in so many ways that I ffold it is hard to explain. The help me mentally and phyically. I enjoy the Y very much. I really appreicate this center for the people of Baltimore.

Location, programming.
Everything
All of the things: Clean, friendly, great equipment. Would be great if they opened shop @ 5am rather than 5:30, but no complaints.
I love that going to the Y feels like engaging in my community. I love the classes and the staff and I always feel welcomed.
i like the equipment and use the pool every day. what i don't like is it is not as clean as it should be especially the pool area. the showers are not as clean as they should be - clogged drains, fixtures that don't work properly. the whole place needs a good scrubbing. they just started using a cheap paper towel-- now you have to use twice as much to get the same results so you wind up not saving anything just providing an inferior product.
convenient location and excellent staff!
The gym
Variety of fitness classes (aerobic, like cycle classes, and calming, like yoga). A shared space for diverse group of people- seniors, teens, families, young singles.
I danced in Beda's Zumba class as a guest, which got me thinking about joining. Staycie's kundalini class sealed the deal - this is my favorite style of yoga, and it's hard to find affordable classes in this style.

I like the classes and friendly staff. I don’t feel self-conscious working out in this environment.
