I usually come in the early afternoon. Not having to wait for equipment makes my workouts more enjoyable.
I like taking classes at the Y. I have been going 5 to 6 days a week. After the outside classes I go inside and use the machines. I find that I do feel safe using the equipment since the Y has asked that we wear masks and clean the machines and equipment before and after we use them. I especially like the body pump class and take that Monday and Friday since those are the outside times. I would like to do the class on Wednesday during the day as well and hope that the Y will run a body pump during the day eventually.
Is for me the best place ... where I can sweat my problems, my stress from work disappear, I’m another person when I came out... I recharge my mind it’s a great place to be.
The employees are always friendly. The water class teachers are experts. The facilities are always clean. The Towson Y is the best!

The equipment and facility is clean and updated and easy to use. Personal trainers are very nice and helpful. I’m excited to go every time
Your swim lap reservation system means nothing.
I reserved for 11 am wed and when I arrived the person took away another lane due to size of aerobics class.
This meant I was to swim in same lane with someone I did not know during
Covid 19.
Has your system changed that all times for lap swim one will be swimming with another person?
Someone should have notified us before 11 am.
The size of aerobics class was known before 11 am.

The people are friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and inviting. I feel like my granddaughters are safe and happy when they are at the Y.

I think you ought to keep the lap swimming reservation system in place when we return to normal, (whatever that means). It is nice to have a lane to yourself on a scheduled basis.
The Y is such a welcoming place to walk into, no matter what location.
There are a variety of activities for all ages, activities family can share.
The staff is always amicable, well knowledgeable , and respectful. Did I mention friendly?

Been wirh rgw YMCA for some time. I swam on their swim team summers of 1949 and 1950 summers zt Meadowbrook. {Team name was Meadowbrook-Y} Worked two summers for the Syracuse YMCA on Association Island in Lake Ontario establishing a boys camp {Camp Towsey} [The YMCA had been given the island by Genersl electrixc who had used it for their company retreat. It had a five hold golf couse, 8 MIT class sailboats, a fully equipped thester, a skeet range and 190 cabins. One end of the island was a family vsacation spot; we used the other end for our camp.
I worked for the Central Y of Maryland as Data Processing Manager from 1979 through 1991 at the Court Square Building and the Hergert Building.
I also belonged to the YMCA in Harrisburg,, Pa 1960-61 when I was on the road selling soap for Lever Brothers.

As a Y Associate I can say confidently that the Y is doing everything possible to provide a safe environment in all program areas. They/we are responding to the COVID situation with seriousness, care and common sense. The program offerings have been modified to adequately meet the needs of the membership and the community. Dealing with these changes has been challenging at times, but it is clear the Y is doing its best to lead us through this pandemic so that our bodies and minds -- and the organization -- will remain strong!
I only use the pool but everyone is friendly and the scheduling process is clear and works well.
