The Orokawa Y is a beautiful facility and offers lots of good classes.

I have a son with Autism and he loves coming
to the Y to swim each weekend. Other guests and lifeguards have been amazing towards him and Makes us feel welcomed. Few months ago we had an incident with a swim teacher/employee of the Y (Caucasian mid aged female) who screamed at my son to get out the pool. He’s non verbal but she didn’t care and it really threw us off. I want to educate people about his disability but some are not willing to hear.
Other than that we love it there and enjoy our time swimming during family swim time, so thank you for that.
I like the staff and the classes, and it has a good community atmosphere.
Our swim instructor was so patient and personable. She always offered feedback after sessions which was very helpful. We will be enrolling in the next session.

Childcare, cleanliness, friendliness, Stephanie K is such an amazing class instructor!!! She cares a lot and it shows in her planning for each class. I get the best workouts with her and have the most fun!
