After a small bump in the road getting scheduled all 8 lessons went as planned. Jonah Windle, the instructor, was great with our teenage son. Jonah showed a tremendous amount of patience - taking the time to thoroughly explain swim strokes, give gentle critique as needed and helped with getting our son over a few ' mental blocks' that seemed to prevent progress. In the end Jonah was able to get our son in a good place so he could attempt ( and pass) the rigorous Boy Scouts Swim Exam to be able to move up in rank. He also did water rescue and boat safety with him too which was great. Once our schedule was set Jonah was very gracious and accommodating which helped both parties have successful.swim lessons. Our family would highly recommend the Private Swim lessons at the Y.
Very friendly
The Y in Abingdon is very well run and the staff is very friendly.
My only suggestion would be that they open earlier on Sundays.

Has what I want, water exercise
Our instructor, Erica, was fantastic. She made it so fun for the kids and parents. Would absolutely do lessons again, especially with Erica!
It’s been great!
I like the dance class on Monday nights at 6:15. The instructor is personable and fun. It's a great experience. I also like how many machines there are in the weight room. It's nice to never have to wait to bust out a workout.
The community feel!
I have been able to lose weight and lower blood pressure coming to the Y,
I'm thoroughly enjoying masters' swim class. I'm challenged every class. My swim form and times are improving. Coach Brian is fantastic....constant feedback, videos swimming to see my form, encouraging

They need a water spicket to easily fill water bottles. The perry Hall and parkville y both have these.

The staff is awesome. The weight room is good tight now but January is coming. The new weight room is really nice.
I like the family atmosphere. There is something for everyone of all ages. We have adult children all the way down to 8 years old and everyone has something that they can do when we go there as a family.
I really enjoy the water classes. Great work out for any level.
