I recently came back to the Y after years of not coming. I wanted to learn how to play pickle ball and was impressed that there was a Y employee (Kelly) who was running rotations and helping others get worked into the on going games. This was different from a long time ago and I think it was such a great improvement. Often groups can not feel welcoming of new people and she went out of her way to find just the right partners that would help us try it out. I was impressed. It felt organized.

We have used other swim schools in the past with our other kids and the young man giving Bella her swim lessons is by far the best we’ve experienced. Believe me if he sucked I would tell you, but he’s been the best!

Clean and many classes, free pickleball lessons, machines, bikes with TV, you tube ... so exercise and learning at same time. Helpful staff.
Only issue. Trying to reach someone by phone is hard...seems people at front desk could answer phone.

Melita is an excellent swim instructor.
Paige was was great to work with to set up lessons. I was disappointed that her schedule did not allow her to be our instructor. Paige assured us (friend and I were embarking on 3 semi-private lessons) she had just the right person for our lessons; neither of us comfortable with the water.
Paige did an excellent job in selecting Madi! I can’t say enough kind words about Madi. She was so kind, patient and knowledgeable!
I went on to take 3 private lessons with Madi and am so glad I did. She was even more patient, while still gently pushing me to do more, to do better. I really can’t thank this young lady enough!
I know she will attend USF soon and will make an awesome teacher…..may even be a principal if she so desires.
I’m sure the Y will miss her!

I enjoy the New Tampa YMCA. The staff is friendly, the equipment is excellent, the pool is fantastic. The facility offers a variety of fitness options which is exactly what I want.

Good hours, plenty of staff, nice people, and lots of variety in classes offered. Plenty of parking, classes or activities for all ages levels and a swimming pool.
