My son loves the after school program. He gets more time with his friends. He gets help with his homework. He gets a chance to play outside, weather permitting. And the staff have become like family to us. Plus being enrolled in the open doors program with the YMCA makes after school care affordable for a single mother of 3 boys.

Ms. Pringle is very good about ensuring my child is safe. I know he is in good hands . She is very helpful and a pleasure to see in the afternoons.
My son enjoys YMCA — he says he likes the outside time and the connections he has built with other students. My son even had the opportunity for extracurricular activities such as chorus or tutoring.
He also has time to do homeowork and relax before football practice most days . YMCA- afterschool has been such a help to our family.

Riverhills Elementary
The after school program has provided a great extension to my son's school day. The counselors are professional and helpful. We appreciate the structure of the program.
Ms. Ish and Ms. Claire are amazing. Very loving and supportive of my child's needs. The team is patient and caring, and also communicate very well. My child is excited to come to the Y and doesn’t want to leave when I pick him up. It’s his favorite spot!
They are compassionate, professional and most of patient!
Convenience is my biggest recommendation. I also appreciate the willingness of the staff to receive feedback.

Miss Claudia at the Essrig after school care YMCA has been doing a phenomenal job! I have not had any issues with this program and my kid enjoys the time she spends there with the other children and counselors!

I will have to point out one person in particular that stands out to me- Jessie! She is absolutely amazing. She not only is bright and smiley everytime I see her, she also cares about the kids SO much. My daughter absolutely adores her and tells me she is a “safe person” to go to when something is wrong. She has also made sure that some of my daughter’s bullies are not around her so there are no further bullying occurrences. The only thing I can say is it is a little pricey for after care. Other than that we are happy!! Thank you Jessie!!!!!

The equipment here is everything you need for fitness. Personnel are helpful in what you need to get fit and how to properly and safely use it. They treat Vets special with occasional snack- get-togethers that give each Vet an opportunity to meet other Vets. I'm in a special 3-months fitness program for qualified veterans called, Whole Health, for several months beyond 3months, at no cost, for which I'm excited and appreciate. I try to attend the gym each week day, even during my radiation treatment period. I believe my consistency has been a considered factor in extending my 3-month contract beyond the 3-month period. I'm very please with the Y.
My kids complain about BASE because I know they would rather be at home watching TV but they have a lot of fun and I know they are safe and looked after. I especially need to complement Mercy for the fantastic job she does at pickup. I really hope to see her again next year.

Jessie and all the people there have been so good to my son Ethan. He really enjoys dealing with all the people. I feel safe and that Ethan is in good hands when he is there!!
