I love the variety of programs, the before/after school program is great with all the different activities and the people that run them, the ease of enrollment and participation, and the cost is so incredibly reasonable.
It is a great program not just for the parents. The kids need that interaction with other children. It is so much better than having them come straight home from school and playing video games. The team of councilors keep the children engaged in activities. I also like that twice a week they offer a program called promise time, where the kids can do extra work for their classes. It’s a great program. The staff at Starkey are incredible. I am very blessed to have this program available to us.

I love the after school program at Oakhurst Elementary, Ms. Kelly is a wonderful person and great with my child. Ms. Genee is so great with communication, and keeping us parents in the loop since we aren’t allowed inside the gate. My son is always happy to go to the program and I can see when I pick him up daily he is always happy and safe.
The group is small and personal. The leaders do activities with the kids and provide individual help/ feedback as needed. They make time for homework and get outside to play.
When I have questions or concerns I can communicate easily through the remind app and they are quick to respond.
Love the Tarpon Fundamental YMCA. Looking forward to my youngest starting next year.

Safe environment able to drop kids off early snd you have till 6 to pick them up. They get help with homework.

The director/ group leaders do their best to understand special needs children and do whatever they can to accommodate. The directors always communicate with the parents and try to “ lessen the blow” of the challenges your special needs child may of had that day.
I appreciate their hard work and dedication to make such a positive experience for not only the children, but parents too.
