They are varied... instructors are great... meet new people.... keep you moving and healthier
I only do water aerobics but love it!..The instructors are so nice and eager to help when you need and very concerned when you have problems
I have been participating in the Silver Sneakers classes for nine years at this point. I like the routines, the time of day they are offered, and the companions I've come to know through regular attendance.
I do wish there was more consistency in the instructors. I go to the 11 a.m. class on MWF and it was more enjoyable when we had Amber doing all three classes. Tina's class has improved considerably in that her routines are now more typical of the SS "curriculum," but she still tends to run overtime and also offers virtually no cool-down period. As a result I find myself skipping her classes or leaving early more often than not, thanks to time constraints.
On the whole however, SS has been good for me and is about the only exercise program I've ever stuck with.
I did want to mention that I don't understand why there is an extra charge for using the Y pool in the summer. If the pool were on the premises, would use of it not be included in one's membership fee?
The gym has all the weights I need to get a good workout in. I don't like that you crammed the benches all on the one side of the gym. If that's going to be the new set up, it seems like it would be worth removing that half wall that runs along the back side of that space. At least after the end of the nursery, so that there's more room for everything.
The programs are accessible, the cost is reasonable, the facility is clean, well-kept and well-equipped. Everyone is friendly. A great place to get fit.
help from staff/trainers about exercise, especially with specific heath needs to consider; helpfulness, efficiency and friendliness of staff; especially also as they relate to our disabled on in such a positive way. equipment and readiness of staff to help with "operation."as needed; variety of options for exercise (silver sneakers being popular); attractiveness, parking, good bathrooms......a needed facility in our community
The "stretching area" has turned into the "storage area."
Maybe you could put another stretching bar in the activities room? Or signage to keep the current station free of equipment?
I would definitely recommend
I speak highly of my local YMCA and recommend it to coworkers and family. I enjoy the group classes very much.
Good workout and lots of friendly faces.
I love the silver sneakers, thiink the instructors are great, especially Tina!
We work out on our own and do the Monday Body Flow, Tuesday Yoga, and Thurs. gentle yoga classes always.
Instructors and staff are friendly, there's a decent variety of classes and class times.
The silver sneakers classes
Folks are very helpful.
Enjoy the upper body and cardio rooms. Have not yet taken advantage of group activities.
A nice facility, a very welcoming, efficient, friendly staff (starting with NADINE. I really enjoy the diversity of the clients and the variety of programs offered, even though I'm sort of a loner when it comes to my workouts. I normally work outside, but save the Y for snowy, rainy days.
The programs are high quality and high value due to the affordable rates. My children benefit from youth sports, after school, and summer camp and I benefit from child watch, working out regularly, and feeling good about my community. The Y represents the kind of holistic wellness I hope we all want to experience.
Love the classes, I do wish there was a Zumba class though!
Like aqua code and silver sneakers classes.
Your staff is very friendly and helpful, and the prices are good.

I really like chair yoga
Water aerobics at Kendal!
I like the treadmill and meeting some of the other people that come .
I haven't participated in the programs and activities, but I appreciate the diversity.
I have not participated in any programs or activities. I stick to the weight-room and love the variety of workout equipment. Also, it is not busy compared to many other gyms I've been to.
BRITTANY personal Trainer is the best and qualified. Customer Servive is excellent. Unfortunately some machines need maintenance. Place is best and clean.
Amazingly competent, energetic, helpful, welcoming class leaders. Willingness to get and keep up equipment pertinent to the classes. The lending library. Smart use of limited space as membership grows.

The “Let’s dance” class is great, as are the Yoga classes taught by Helen Moore.
I also like the sense of community.
