WE like it all have been members for many years 35 or more. Ron and Name removed
The facility and staff are sensitive to the COVID-19 crisis and go above and beyond to try to create experiences that are on par if not better than they were before the pandemic.
Pools
Programs to keep a wide range of people physically fit - young and old, athletic and not, even those rehabbing from injury or illness. I like the ethnic diversity of the Y experience as well.
I like that you have knowledgeable staff in the weight training area.
I like that you offer many classes at many different times
Always has a wide variety of both
I love the restrictions, rules that you have in order to access the facilities and do exercise.
Also, I love zumba with Andrea!

This comment relates to mask wearing. I observed three patrons come thru the door pass the desk WITHOUT a mask. There were three employees standing around talking nothing was said to the patrons. WHY HAVE A NOTICE “THAT MASK ARE REQUIRED “IF ITS NOT ENFORCED!! What message does this send to responsible YMCA patrons. On a positive note I feel the YMCA has done an excellent job with equipment spacing and cleaning supplies.
I really like your instructors Andrea, Leah, and Lisabet. They are excellent instructors! I consider them my friends! ! I have bragged about them to other people. I am in my 60’s and some of my friends in this age bracket sometimes we have to do some options.....these instructors are good about showing options or telling us options we can do. I really enjoy the Zumba Gold class! I have some feet issues and regular Zumba is too fast and bothers my feet. I was doing Body Pump before the lockdown. I have hand problems and it had gotten so holding that bar hurts my hands. So, I haven’t been back to Body Pump since then. Several of us REALLY MISS Group Active that was just the right amount of everything for my age group. It sure would be nice to see a class with working with weights ....like hand weights, but not a full hour maybe thirty minutes or forty five. A class geared for my age group. We just want to help our bones. That was a complaint I heard that Body Pump was too much for too long,
The instructors are great&motivate me to do the best!
Group exercise, pool, Zumba, track, free weights, kids programs like dance
The Y is my home away from home! There is something here for everyone.
I like the atmosphere at the Kirk YMCA--there are all ages, races, ability levels, and economic levels--and everyone is welcome. The staff is warm and accommodating. It is so nice to be greeted by name and to feel like you belong. Very impressed with the efforts in place to make the Y safe during the pandemic. We felt very comfortable coming back to work out.
FRIENDSHIPS !
My daughter loves swimming and goes to the nursery sometimes.
I love the HIIT class offered at lunchtime. Our teachers are so good and provide such a good workout. We have all become friends so there is a good sense of community.
Great for physical and mental health. Especially with the stress of this China virus
My favorite activity is swimming and weight lifting. Enjoy the disco black light Zumba class held in the gym.

I like your efforts to keep memberssafe while also sticking to social distancing guidelines
