We love our instructor, Hondo, and feel our daughter has gotten really comfortable in the water. She's barely a year old but improves each week. Honda is great with kids and we hope he can teach our daughter for a long time.
We've gone since my son was 18 months old. He is 4.5 years old now, so we've been involved in this community for a surprisingly (to us) long period of time. We also introduced our daughter (from 18 months on) to swim lessons and for both of them, it has given them much more confidence in the water as well as practice listening and learning one-on-one from teachers at an age where that isn't always practiced.
I would definitely recommend Aquatots-Lake Mead for the warmth and kindness that they've showed my family. The coaches are so patient with my kids (both cried straight through the first two or three lessons but we soldered on and we are so glad we did. The front office is also so patient with me as I try to cram their lessons as close together as possible and struggle to use the app on my phone (which I need to be better at).
Small groups, so kids have more chances to practice. Availability to reschedule classes. Nice and well capacited instructors. Organized and clean facilities.

I am incredibly pleased with the service, care, and kindness of aqua at Berkeley Michigan location. I’ve always been greeted with such warmth than kindness of on walking in the door. They take time to memorize everybody’s names. I’ve written many nice reviews about this particular site in those employed at. This day I was coming to drop off my two older children to their swim class when one of the young sweet receptionist noticed that I was Having some difficulty wrangling to toddlers and a newborn. She followed me to my seat, asked me if I needed anything and then brought me water and a snack. She treated me more than just a person, but made me feel very good. Definitely in the postpartum phase. This is not the first time I have been treated with such Immense kindness and generosity whether it be through simple act of greeting me to offering me water. I love this location.
Everyone is so friendly and great with kids! The facility is clean and you can see all the employees take great pride in making sure it stays that way. My son was terrified of the water when we started but now he can safely be near water and is learning to become a confident swimmer. He loves the water and is safe thanks to aquatots!
Fun and quick classes. I notice my 2 year old is actually improving and learning skills important for safety. She can almost float on her back, she can swim up to the surface after jumping in, she can find the wall, and she can inch along the wall by herself to get to the stairs. The coaches are fun and sweet.

It’s a great environment for kids to learn step by step how to be good swimmers. Teachers are patient and knowledgeable and work with kids of all ages and abilities. They make it fun and rewarding for the kids as they move from level to level improving their swimming skills.
aqua-tots has been such a wonderful step with our ASD1 toddler ! the way they take their time with him for extra teaching, go at his pace, how he gets to interact with other adults/kiddos, and having an extra instructor in the water just for him eases my anxious state of mind . he is already learning so much and i cannot wait to see even more progress in him over the next year (:
