Member Testimonials
Would have given a 10, but member rates are too expensive. I’m probably going to cut off my membership soon since I don’t use many of the kids activities anymore. Also, I had a friend who earns minimum wage and raises 3 girls by herself. I told her to come to the ymca and try to get some sort of scholarship. She wanted to get active and healthy. She was quoted $40 or $50 a month. She’s on food stamps and could not afford it. I was sad especially when I get emails all the time to give money to the Y because they are a big outreach for needy families. This particular family was extremely needy and was not helped.
The YFit classes outside, boot camp, childcare, swim team, and basketball team.
First class operation. At the Y, you are a member of a supportive community, not simply an account number with a monthly obligation to pay dues and fees. Helpful and knowledgable staff is there to help you develop your personal fitness goal.
Group exercise.
There is something for everyone. The schedule has a great variety of times for classes and it changes throughout the year.
Our YMCA has great instructors, and has a good verity of classes. It has a friendly atmosphere.
Classes are fun and I enjoy being a part of the USMS swim team.
Variety of exercise options and equipment.
Good variety, nice facilities
The West Cobb Y has lots of great classes to choose from! They have great instructors and a very friendly and helpful staff.
The facility is always clean and people are happy!
I do not use your nursery but I am impressed with the setup and always enjoy seeing the happy kids in there. The West Cobb YMCA rocks!
I like the variety of programs for all ages. Unlike some other YMCA's in the area, there is room to stretch and move around the machines/free weights.
Sometimes communication is not a good as it should be about changes due to broken equipment.
The wide variety of classes and programs that are available to people of all ages and fitness levels.
I like the variety and the quality. I also like the flexibility to try classes without having to sign up for a series. I like the "campus" feel of the facility.
Our family enjoy the variety of activities and programs here at the Y. My wife and I take advantage of the boot camps with Rachel Chyna along with other exercise programs while our 3 boys are frequently at the basketball courts.
Variety and inclusiveness
Something for everyone no matter the age.
Northwest Cobb Y is a great gym. Lots of equipment, all in good condition. Great classes. The bulk of the staff is awesome. My only complaint is I wish they had some better classes at 6 & 7am. There is Yoga but I would prefer some of the boot camp, cardio/weight type classes. I do get it's based on demand and this is what works in this particular location. Just wish there was a higher demand for those times so more classes were added.
Lots of equipment, clean, variety of classes
There are so many to choose from. The teachers/trainers are wonderful.
The staff is amazingly friendly.
Coaching program, Zumba, Barre
I like the variety of water aerobics classes and quality instructors. staff is super friendly and always helpful.
So many classes to choose from. I love the spin classes. I am just starting to explore other classes. Instructors are great. People are friendly and so clean.
Everything is Great !!
So many to choose from. I like the variety.
The family atmosphere and variety of classes available. Also the opportunity to work with the coaches. My husband and I have the Silver Sneakers card which allows us to go to another gym for free, but would rather use the Y for the above reasons!
You have a wide array of group classes. The instructors are easy to talk to, and are willing to modify any movement to better assist your personal needs or capabilities.
I am 70 and really enjoy the deep water classes.
Hi,
I really appreciate the coach approach program. I haven't made it to a class yet and don't have a workout partner so the coach approach program helps me feel more connected to the facility, helps keep me on track with goals and the coach shows me how to use machines I'm unfamiliar with. Great program, great coach, Todd Carr.
Thanks,
