Member Testimonials
I love everything about the Y! Everyone is so friendly. I feel super comfortable in the classes and wellness center. The play center staff know my kids names. And I LOVE the extra family programs like PNO, daddy daughter dance and winter wonderland.
All ages are welcome, family friendly
I love the group classes. I’ve made some of my best friends by being a regular!
I love that your employees learn our names. We were at another gym in Newnan for over 13 years. Only one or two employees greeted us by our first names. We’ve been at the Summit YMCA in Newnan for four months and several employees greet us with a smiles and remember our names. We love the Y!
The Little’s
Great classes, friendly staff, clean equipment-pool-locker room-studios.
The great well trained staff.
Family oriented
Convenience and availability of different classes and times, and especially the super-friendly staff, who really care about the members
I like the Coach Approach program and am really interested in the weight loss program. The classes are okay. I do wish there were more Pilates classes and Zumba on Thursday and Wednesday.
I like the ability to take exercise classes. I'm a social person so, I am motivated to workout if classes are offered.
Group fitness classes, great instructors, good friends i have made
Family atmosphere...caring employees!
I love everything about the YMCA
Family friendly
There's a decent amount of diversity in the programs and activities. The youth programs especially are great. They're well organized and run by an involved and caring group of individuals..
I love that your programs and activities are family oriented. The child watch was one of the main reasons why I joined many years ago. I also like the fact that there is no body shaming and I feel comfortable going to the gym. Your facilities are also nice and clean.
Well delivered
Friendly staff
Age appropriate
Good variety
BeAutiful facility
We use the wellness center, pool, and childcare. Most staff are friendly, facilities are clean and well maintained. A few wellness center people are nannies, but otherwise we enjoy our membership.
I regularly recommend the YMCA to my mom friends because I am so pleased with the childcare and activities that are provided as part of our membership.
Love your "trainers/counselors. Love the pool. I am taking the fit for life class and find it very valuable. One year ago today, my life changed very much do to your trainers, classes, pool, etc. It began with a person that initially giving my husband and I a tour of your facility and introducing us to Bruce McCarthy who sat down with us and talked and we left there saying this is where we need to be, my special coach and trainer Kathy Balco who is amazing and all the other coaches and teachers there like Barb Guilot, Liz, Marcia! It has been a year and when I started I was over 300 pounds and couldn't walk. I am now down 63 pounds and jogging on the track, have tried TRX, and other classes. The Y is now part of my life!!! You have hired amazing people that have a "calling" to give people courage and strength to accomplish their goals. Thank you, Gina Gross
I am an adult family of one. I participate in three programs at the "Y" on a regular basis: water aerobics, personal training, and swimming lessons. The teacher/trainer for each of these programs is knowledgeable, professional, patient, and courteous. I'm very comfortable that I'm getting good quality teaching/training at the Y; participation/membership on an on-going basis will be one of my "treats" to myself for the future.
Poor communication with seniors as to activities. What happened to monthly calendar that listed all activities for members..use to be on board across from elevator. No lunch n learns..no Tia chi..nothing about what books book club is reading..no day trips. SO WHAT PROGRAMS ARE YOU OFFERING FOR SENIORS? WHAT ARE WE GETTING FOR OUR MONEY? WHY WOULD SENIORS WANT TO JOIN?
Close to home. Walking track. Great for grandchildren.
The programs have allowed and encouraged me to be more active at the Y. I love my T shirt and my salad bottle gift.
I love the Zumba class with Sara, she's a jewel. Risalba is a tribute to Zumba. Liz is fantastic with Cardio Groove and Funk dance class. I'd love more dance classes.
I don't care for the Pounds class. The drum sticks are very painful when I miss the floor and hit my self continuously! I am not able to get up and down off the floor.
The staff is terrific and always willing to greet and help answer any questions.
I love and respect my YMCA
The parents night out program and day camps are fantastic!
It’s family oriented
The exercise classes for senior citizens are very good.
Programs such as Parents Night Out pay for the family membership on their own and provide a much needed benefit for busy families with small kids. The team programs are well-organized and great for kids to be introduced to new sports and activities.
Swimming lessons were great for my daughter and Kayla was an excellent teacher. :-)
