It goods times!
First, I would like to say that I love going there because it has a friendly atmosphere, and I get a real sense of belonging when I step through the door.
Miki's classes are wonderful! She has created a loving, caring environment while exercising. She has built a community of people who care about each other and have FUN together!!
I also enjoy swimming. The pool is great!!
I enjoy all the classes for senior adults. The instructors are really great. I also enjoy palates. I have made a lot of good friends.
Seeing friends I have made at the Y. Love the instructors, especially Stacey, Micki and Jae. They are always cheerful and encouraging. Love dance because of the music, and PD because of the skills we learn to avoid falls and to stay active. Can’t imagine a world without the Cowart Y!
The Tuesday morning water aerobics class is fantastic. The teacher puts in 100% to her students. She is so enthusiastic, focused, thoughtful, joy filled and fun. I took a water class yesterday at another gym and it was a night and day difference with the teacher. Glad I get to take this class on Tuesdays, would love for her to add another class.
love the stretch class, the variety of other classes, the "coach approach" so I can learn how to learn how to use the equipment. The instructors are (almost all) happy to help a newbie figure out how to get started and how to adjust in the class. Everyone has a "meet you where you are" approach and that has made me look forward to coming to the Y.
I enjoy both the cardio equipment (treadmills, bikes and rowing machines) and the group exercise classes (especially stretch)
I went for the Water Aerobics class. It was very good and welcoming
Great teachers, variety of classes and opportunity to make new friends.
I like the variety offered.
Excellent instructors
Warm kind staff. Always greet me and answer any questions I might have
I lost a golf umbrella there recently. Two employees told me that they had found my umbrella but then incorrectly told me that the found umbrella had different colors from mine. Dean Morgan read my e-mail, looked at my umbrella, and correctly matched my description with the found golf umbrella. I was able to claim my golf umbrella that I have had for twenty years or more. Dean deserves praise. The issue was simple, but he was the one that was interested enough to solve it.
I like the indoor track. When the air quality is poor, it's too hot, or it's too cold, I can walk there. I live in a condo next door, so the location is convenient. I'm too old to exercise as I did when I was younger, so I walk to keep my blood pressure down and control my weight.
I like the friendly, helpful, relaxed attitude of the employees.
Director Micki Robinson is obviously very bright and very capable, but even more remarkable is her even temperament. I have never seen her anxious or upset. Her steady nature filters down from the top to the rest of her staff.
all the work out with a group of friends
I really like the strength class taught on Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 by Teri. She is awesome. She really keeps up with exercise physiology and new techniques. I have done her class religiously now for three months.
I did not like the Strength class taught on Monday at 10:30 that had a different instructor. She used chairs and it was really stupid and more of a class for 80 year olds. That class needs to be called something different. It was not a strength class and the instructor was not very good in my opinion. She kept looking at her notes even though she was the regular instructor. I realize people apparently like this class, but it was not a strength class. Since it seems to be more about balance since they use chairs then perhaps call it a balance class.
I have also taken the cycling classes and like them also. Overall I really like your club and enjoy working out there. I also love that you have coffee and always have a cup the mornings I come in.
Sincerely,
Gwen Spung

Variety of programs and equipment
Good group exercise instructors
There are programs and activities for all ages!!

I switched from LA Fitness, and this gym is MUCH better. The equipment is pretty new here, and it's cooler and drier in the gym, which I really appreciate. I really like the 7 lane pool AND the steam room! LA Fitness was really bad at taking forever to fix things, but it doesn't look like they have that problem here. So far, so good!
