Great classes and really excellent facilities!
My wife and I joined because our AARP supplement plan included a membership to a health club and the YMCA was included in our choices. We have loved the membership. I have worked out three days a week and it has been an awesome experience. Everything is clean and well maintained. The staff has been incredible. Thank you for making our life healthier.

My three daughters have had a blast at the YMCA camps. My twins came home after Triple Threat doing cartwheels all over the house. They also sing and dance to the songs that the whole camp participates in during the week. My three are on the younger side, and they are so proud when they pass the swim test on swim day. Thank you for offering such fun programming for our children!
I'm an active senior. I began exercising after retirement and I'm hooked. I take several yoga classes and the instructors are excellent. They each have different routines geared to keep all parts of your body working at their best. If you want to stay healthy, keep your mobility, and feel young, I highly recommend trying yoga. Also, senior strength classes are great to maintain bone density. Many members love the swimming and cycling classes. The staff is very helpful and always welcoming. And, you'll make some wonderful friends.

Love Kristen’s spin class. Also enjoy the pool, but couldn’t book a lane last week. My youngest loves playing basketball in the gym on weekends.

Swimming
Good variety of classes and equipment. Still need more older adult classes and better accommodations for older adults.

The availability of the pool for lap swimming.

I really like the Decatur YMCA. The staff and guests are nice! And the panels between the machines are nice for privacy and not getting sweated on by guests on the machine next to you. The panels were a pandemic addition, but I hope the Decatur Y keeps them.
