I have not participated in any activities yet
We visited twice while we were in Atlanta last week. (Our home Y is the Summit Family YMCA in Newnan, GA.)
We were greeted and made to feel very welcomed. The staff went out of their way to answer our questions, even sharing the location of one of their favorite nearby coffee shops, when we asked. The facility is beautiful, very clean, and we enjoyed our workouts.

I am new to the Y but have really enjoyed the gym! I have also noticed there are tons of classes I can take and for the price it really seems like a great deal.

What I really like is the space on level 2 where the workout equipment is. The open floor plan makes it easier to do different things and not feel you’re in different spaces.

PLEASE!! PLEASE!! Recruit some experienced yoga teachers and pay them a decent wage. I understand it's all about community service, but this is a tough world we live in and yoga is more important than ever! Patti's absence is solely missed. The 7pm Tuesday class was cancelled 2 weeks in a row and now it's been taken off the schedule completely.
Please make this a priority! Thank you!
Great facility. Staff is friendly and helpful for the most part. But why is the water temperature in the swimming pool always cold? It used to be fine but for many months now it is a couple of degrees cooler than in the past - and a couple of degrees in water temp makes a big difference. Has a decision been made to cool down the water temp? If so I for one do not appreciate it. I only swim at Decatur now if I can't get a lane at East Lake - their water temp is ideal and warmer than yours.
How welcoming the people, and the environment in general, is. It genuinely is a safe space in which you can excersice, meet people and support your community.
The Dance class was amazing.
The showers very clean and spacious. I First name removed they are sanitized daily.

There was no one at the front to direct me when I initially showed up, so without signs I was lost on where to go.

Based upon the demand for some cycling classes, you need more cycling classes!

We love YMCA!!!
Our son loves attending the day camps that the Y offers. The variety of different camps allows us to send him for multiple weeks, but still offers him something a little different each week. We love that the Y promotes tons of physical activity; he comes home having expended tons of energy. The counselors are leaders that our son really looks up to and we have had a wonderful experience.

I love the group exercise classes. My favorites are Y Body Burn with Julia, Bodypump with Lucky and Melody, and Dance Party with Alekz. Only one problem: Very often, a class listed as 45 minutes duration goes overtime. I typically plan on leaving when the class was supposed to be over, and I miss out on the cool-down and stretch portion. For some instructors, this is usual, not occasional. Why is this happening? Thanks.

The Y is very inclusive...with classes for seniors, children and everyone in between.
The new Sunday at 11:00 Hatha Yoga class instructor, Steven, is excellent. I really enjoy that class!
