Love the outdoor yoga and body pump class. Nice, clean facility. Friendly staff.
I have been a member of the Austin YMCA on and off for many years. I mostly work out using the universal equipment or swim but once I had kids, I used the childcare and all of the sports programming including basketball, baseball, and swim lessons. Now my son works for the YMCA Austin. I love the YMCA. I know the dressing rooms were updated over the years but they still could use some work. There shouldn't be any carpeting in them. One more thing...I accidentally spilled about a quart of exterior paint in the parking lot of the Townlake Y yesterday and the workers at the front desk were extremely compassionate and helpful and really made me feel better. I wish I could remember the man's name...4 letters, started with G I think. He was excellent...very engaging and supportive. I also love that I can go to any of the Y's in Austin and around the country and believe me, I have. I can't say enough good things about the Y.
Senior group exercise. Please bring back Zumba Gold (or equivalent) and Qi Gong.
Well equipped weight room
It's clean and there are lots of machines to work. People are friendly, so is staff.
The Y is a rare place that's not exclusive. At the Y, I work to better myself among others with that very same goal: no matter their shape, age, beauty or net worth.
Everyone is there to make themselves a little better.
I want to be one of them.
Anfernee was really great, and on top of all the things the kids needed to have a successful, fun and safe season! All the refs were super great with kids as well. We loved it.
Love, love, love the pool and the wonderful lifeguards.
Can't wait to get back into more group fitness classes.
I want to swim laps. Your pool is wonderful, especially since the chlorine level in the pool is lower than other pools. I really like that you have lap swimming lanes open so much of the time every day.
Outdoor classes. Great teachers. Great classes

Coach Kagan was awesome!!!
Cost, focus on fun
Coach Kagan was so affirming of our sensitive, dramatic 4-year old. The structure of practice and games works well. We only wish the season were longer!
I'm in the Senior classes and besides having great exercise classes, we have a great community. I have traveled with some of the members, met them in the early evenings for drinks, and communicated frequently.
I love the hot tub and the small pool.
I like the sauna and the machines especially the stationery bike.
So good for my spinal stenosis.
The Y beats the 'commercial' clubs easy. The almost olympic size pool is enough to best the compeiton. I don't know how the Y does it. Good mix of clients.
A 5 Star deal....

I love taking the Cardio Funk class. I took a class like this many years ago in NW Austin. Stacy Anderson taught the class. The class is uplifting, fun and great for people who love to dance and they don't care who's watching.
I am also very impressed with this awesome gym. It has lots of workout equipment, it's very clean, and the friendly employees are so eager to help out.
The location is Central so, I can go either North or South quite easily when the class is over. I also love seeing Townlake aka Lady Bird Lake.

I like the inclusivity at Town Lake Y.
The front desk hospitality is always heartening.
