Member Testimonials
Atmosphere and seeing familiar faces.
Classes - especially 11:00 zumba and cardio funk. We need a longer class and a Friday class.
Love pump class also and the sub teacher at noon is great.
Inclusiveness, diversity, respect and friendliness
A variety of activities for busy people of all
ages.
Love everything about townlake ymca
Lots of classes available & close to my home!
Range and quality of equipment, friendly staff, and welcoming members.
I like the facilities. I don't take classes or programs so I have no opinion on that.
The Town Lake location has a wide variety of classes for seniors. I also like the large number and variety of exercise machines/bikes available.
I like the flexibility of class schedules, and the variety of classes. I like that I dont have to sign up in advance, and I'm also welcome to try a class just once (as opposed to committing to a whole series).
Good facility and great location by the trail.
I like that they are both varied but also consciously inclusive. Everyone can feel welcome at the YMCA!
Coach Jude for my daughter track team is amazing!! So energetic and thoughtful! All the coaches have shown extreme skill and are very supportive!
Variety and frequency of offerings. Appreciate the teachers as well.
the variety of offerings for all ages
Easy access -can drop in- great hospitable vibe- no show offs
-So easy to work with and accommodating (Rebecca McFarland helped us put a hold on our membership when we were in Mexico for several months).
-All of the staff (front desk, child watch, instructors) are very kind and friendly and passionate about their roles and the Y
-Child watch - best childcare ever - staff interacts and plays with the children, great set up, and I love that we can bring snacks
They are age appropriate and fun for all
I am taking the water discovery class with my toddler. We have been YMCA members for about 3 years. I really love how clean, pleasant, and organized everything is at Townlake YMCA. It's a great community center. I love meeting friends and new people at every activity I go to. Staff are always really friendlty and helpful.
Child Watch, Quantity and variety of classes, location
They are fun.
I like the hours and location. More classes throughout the day. Larger workout spaces. Closer to my home.
The price and time offered (weekends are a must for my family) make the program accessible. We like that the pool is indoors so the experience is weather-proof and predictable. We like the variety of classes offered for various skill sets. So far the instructors are very engaging and seemed very interested in learning what our children have already mastered and where they can challenge them to take their swimming skills to the next level.
Steam room
I like that the swimming instruction appears to be building consistency.
The friendly family environment
Good teachers
Great teachers and classes at a great times.
I love the group exercise classes. In a one hour class, you get a good workout. Boom, it’s done! And the advantage of exercising in a class, I tend to push myself to excersise the full one hour more than if I had exercised alone. The Wednesday Senior fitness class and the Gentle Yoga classes are a good way to be reintroduced to exercise after being out for awhile. I use the treadmill for exercise to warm up for the group classes. I love the diversity of people that use the Y.
The programs are very inclusive. Doesn’t matter what current playing abilities are. I am a coach for B.B. and I have two kids with autism and every race.

I love the hot tub and sauna and all of the great classes the Y has to offer with a great mix of people
