I am new to the Y, but I have found a friendliness answer sense of community that don't exist in other gyms. I greatly appreciate this!
My trainer, Gary Reed, was excellent for coaching me back into conditioning after 2+ years off. The sourhwest Y is a very pleasant place to work out. Everyone is friendly and the equipmentbis never too busy.
Coach Sam Reicher was lovely. My daughter had fun.

I love that the outdoor lap pool is heated for the winter and I can continue swimming laps. The cardio equipment area is well maintained.
Using the outdoor pool to lap swim, especially during covid, really made a difference in my life.

I love the child watch and amazing staff in the whole gym!! It is the best gym in Austin!
We love how understanding and patient the staff is with our daughter. She needs extra, individualized attention and they do an amazing job with her.

I like to use the weight machines and spinners. I plan to start attending spinning classes which I have enjoyed in the past. I was a member for twenty plus years (Houston, then Austin) and feel comfortable at the Y since it is used by all ages. In fact I learned to swim at the Y (sixty years ago). 😀
It’s small and friendly
I loved working with my fitness instructor, she taught me all the ways to help by body get stronger in the areas where I needed help.
The in door walk path is awesome because I suffer from allergies, and can't walk outside.
I like the Kid's play, outdoor swimming pool, sauna, and the fitness center.
And the kitchen area.

1. It would be wonderful for Celeste to have a Wednesday morning class for Gentle Yoga.
2. Ban people from using cell phones while using the Resistance Machines.
3. Provide access to the front doors using BOTH doors and not just one.
Other than that - I really like the Southwest branch. The facilities are great and the staff is fabulous!
Doing body pump, and that you have a few large weights (16 kg?). Can you get more? 🙏 Also really appreciate the front staff
