My vet advised me to start using Platinum Performance after my Holsteiner mare, Lark, was struck by a hit-and-run driver three days before Christmas, 1996. She developed laminitis during her year-long recovery. His primary purpose in prescribing Platinum Performance was to give her nutritional support while she healed. He was particularly concerned about her fragile feet.
I believe that Platinum Performance was key to the mare's recovery and eventual return to serviceable soundness. According to my vet, it is rare for a horse her size, 17 hands, 1600 pounds in her prime, to survive a bout of laminitis that was as severe as hers was. Alas, she was not able to follow in the footsteps of her sire or older brothers as a grand prix jumper, but she was able to do dressage. She has always been strong and healthy, and her coat is always gorgeous even when she is in winter woolly mammoth mode. (I always have to tell people, no, it's not grooming, it's Platinum Performance.)
Lark is now 26 years old, and she's still a Platinum Performance horse. I especially appreciate that Platinum Performance has developed a number of different formulas and additional products that allow me to adjust her supplement program to fit her changing nutritional needs. I also appreciate the recommendations that I have received from your advisors that have made it possible for me to keep her sound and healthy well into her senior years.
