Staff is excellent. They work with you, making payments, coming on your schedule and my son has made budge progress. Sylvan has done wonders.
My daughter has learned so much from sylvan. The main issue we have had is with the location. Boise and meridian are catered to meanwhile nampa, Caldwell and the rest of the area do not have proper representation. We love the work they have done with my daughter but have considered stopping all learning due to the location being so out of the way for us and our family.
I have seen great improvement in overall reading skills and confidence.

Great after-school program. The teachers are very helpful and really care about helping students improve. They take time to explain things clearly and create a good learning environment. I’ve seen a big positive difference in confidence and learning. Very thankful for all their hard work and support. Highly recommend this program.
Love everything about the learning center
I really the way the lesson plans are tailored to each students need. Teachers and center directors are always ready to listen to parents and helping students with exam prep also. They have inculcated love for ELA in my son.
Very welcoming professional interaction with director of the location we go to. Organized with regards to testing and setting up goals and learning plans in conjunction with myself and my children.

Both of my boys attend Sylvan for math and have made so much progress this year. Sylvan has been amazing for our family. Our kids have improved so much academically since we started going there. My son had a great experience! We were lucky to land a tutor with very specific physics expertise. My son looked forward to his sessions and often preferred them over his lacrosse practice! Also, Amber, the director of the center, has the most incredible patience and always worked with us on our constant need to reschedule.

Sylvan has helped my daughter gain confidence.
I highly recommend Sylvan Learning of Pittsford for tutoring. I've sent my three children there on and off from first grade through senior year. Sometimes, it just helps them to hear or learn something for a second time or to have it explained in a different way. My kids have also gone there for SAT test prep, and it was useful to have that guided review plus multiple practice tests scheduled leading up to their test dates. There's always a lot going on in kids' lives today, and I think having that dedicated time to focus on this task prepared my first two well for both the PSAT and SAT (do it the summer before Junior year, and the test prep will make them ready for both of these tests). Whether it was this test prep or tutoring for challenging classes at school, Sylvan has helped my kids gain confidence as they learned material in a positive and supportive environment. My kids like the tutors at Sylvan, and I love the friendly, professional staff who always do everything they can to help me with scheduling, as our family's schedule fluctuates. I will definitely continue sending my last remaining high schooler to Sylvan as needed for help with his classes and for SAT test prep! This is real help from real teachers - thank you all!

Our granddaughter, Genevieve, has been participating in Sylvan's online math program from Germany since January 2026. Despite a six-hour time difference, she has faithfully attended two online sessions every Saturday, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional.

I especially want to recognize Regina Cornelius, Center Manager, whose leadership and commitment to student success are evident in every interaction. Keeping a 11-year-old engaged for an extended math session is no small feat, yet they consistently make learning enjoyable while motivating and encouraging her every step of the way.
