I’ve used Sylvan for my son twice. The first was half way thru his 1st grade year when he transitioned from a Montessori school to traditional schooling. The second time in the 8th grade for high school math tutoring which he had to work on his studying habits taking the higher level course work. Sylvan helped him build his confidence back up. I would highly recommend it and wished all kids had access to Sylvan resources.

I am satisfied with the professional tutoring services provided by Sylvan Learning of Sterling Heights (Hall Road). My 8 y/o son did a great improvement there. He was at the very initial reading stage when he was in the middle of first grade (also, due a hearing impairment, he was just basically re-learning phonics and words).
Sylvan did a great job with my son; He developed the necessary skills to read with confidence, his speaking fluency improved very well and he did a great progress at the end of the school year. His teacher noticed that he gained confidence in reading and understanding the content.
The expertise in the assorted subjects is great. The tutors are friendly and make the sessions enjoyable.
The Sylvan professionals connected well with my daughter--they assessed her strengths and needs well and care about her as a person. It is helpful to have an ally as we work on time management and organizational skills.

Had such a positive experience with my son here that when my daughter struggled with math it was a no brainer to go back to Naanu and her team. After a few weeks my daughter now has strengthened her grade 7 math and feels prepared for grade 8.
Our experience with Sylvan Learning Center has been nothing short of amazing! Sylvan helped our son, Silas, go from a pre-K reading level to a 2nd-grade reading level in just 7 months! We are beyond impressed with the dedication, patience, and encouragement that every teacher poured into him.

I truly appreciated our experience with Sylvan, and the fact that they were able to provide their services free of charge over the summer was incredible. The team was very flexible with our schedules, taking the time to understand our constraints and working with us to find days and times that were convenient for everyone involved.
Their ongoing communication was greatly appreciated, as they regularly kept us informed about the progress being made and the goals that still needed to be addressed. In the relatively short time my child received services, I could already see an improvement in his reading skills.

Sylvan has helped my children to catch up to grade level and reach their full academic potential. My kids usually work with Sam, Becky, and Diane. They are amazing. We also had a great experience with the other teachers we worked with every so often. Sylvan is great at working schedules around busy lives and understands when families need to reschedule due to other activities. I would highly recommend Sylvan for any parents or guardians who need a little extra help with their children's academics.
