My sweet Sophia is special needs and struggles getting her hair cut! Every single stylist we’ve had is so patient and everyone works together to ensure that she is happy and distracted while getting her haircut. This past visit another stylist even blew her bubbles while she got her hair cut to help keep her calm. I cannot even begin to say how meaningful this is. A haircut seems so simple but to a special needs child is is so stressful and the staff here go above and beyond to make sure she has a good experience!
We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon not too long before closing. I didn’t know to make an appointment and both stylists had appointments that would be coming in before time to close. My daughter (2) was devastated at the thought of having to come back another day. One of the ladies decided she would squeeze her in and we were so appreciative. She made my daughter feel special and did a great job with the cut.
The salon is nice and clean and everyone was friendly. My child was comfortable and loved his haircut.

I generally like this place since the new ownership but I do have to say I’m not super happy with our latest experience. My son’s haircut does not look good now that it’s not styled and I was a bit disappointed that the system doesn’t have his typical number settings for the clippers when I know I made sure to ask about that last time. As a result the sides are shorter than we usually like because I didn’t remember the usual settings, and then the top seems way too long still to match the super short sides.
My daughter’s looks fine but I felt the stylist was getting frustrated because my 2/3 year old daughter wasn’t looking down that well the whole time. I understand that makes it easier on the stylist but she’s 3 lol (and developmentally even younger than that). For a place that specializes in kids, it felt out of place to me.
I’ll definitely return but will likely be pickier about the stylists in the future.
The team at Pigtails and Crewcuts was absolutely wonderful—warm, patient, and truly great with kids. Our daughter came in excited to get “princess hair,” and the staff made the experience magical for her from start to finish. They gently walked her through all the hairstyle options, made her feel confident in choosing the one she loved, and styled her hair with such care and attention. What impressed us most was how they kept her smiling and comfortable the entire time—no fuss, no tears, just pure joy. It was a memorable experience, and we’re so grateful for how special they made her feel.
Quick and efficient
Out son had a great time and our stylist Donna was very nice and patient with him and us! The toys, treats and movies were also a big help!
Ali was really great in dealing with children, the place was kept clean and the waiting area has play table so your kids won’t get bored while waiting for their turn
The ladies are so sweet and patient with the kids! My little boy is only 2, and he is never scared to get a haircut. He always enjoys the experience, and so do I!
Y'all give kids the best haircut experience I have ever seen. Y'all make sure the kids are comfortable and that they are having fun while there. So 10/10, I will highly recommend and me and my kids are definitely coming there again!
My daughter was very upset for most of the haircut, but it did not phase our stylist at all, who was very professional and kind.
I took my son here for his first ever hair cut and LOVED it! The staff were so very nice. They had toys for him to play with while getting his hair trimmed and the cutest seats to choose from. My son didn’t cry once! He enjoyed every second of it. I will definitely be back.

Going into it I was nervous because my daughter was on the spectrum. However, Miss Gabby made it so comfortable and so easy for our daughter to be comfortable with her. She went wherever she went and really wanted her to have a great first experience so we very much appreciate everything that Miss Gabby has done for our daughter. I definitely recommend this place.
Ms. Tia did a fabulous job for my child’s hair, which is fine and curly. She was very friendly and kind! We will definitely be back!
We love pigtails and crewcuts. Great environment, helpful people and wonderful stylists. They know how to work with my son and get him to sit with a lollipop and movie to get his haircut of course :)
Lindsey always does a fantastic job on my children's hair.
The staff who took care of my boys this last visit did a great job of helping decide on how to cut their hair based on personality and summer activities and did an absolutely fantastic job even going the extra step of making notes on the account so it can be repeated. I appreciated the patience and expertise which left both kids and dad quite happy with the experience.
Ms. Damaris was very nice and sweet. She made my child feel comfortable during the hair cut, she also gave me advice on products to begin to use to protect my baby’s hair against the sun.
Dani is always so patient and kind with my son and myself every time we come in. She does great work.

Ms. Doris was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly patient and made it fun! My son is typically very shy and uncomfortable in new settings but he walked right in and immediately had a smile on his face! Ms. Doris did a great job with his haircut! After trying other places, we’ll definitely come back and we’ll ask for Ms. Doris again!
Everything at pigtails and Crewcuts is so kid friendly it's great. There is an area in the back where you sit and wait that has kids toys and pictures of littles that have been there. The service was fast and friendly. There's nothing that would deter me from coming again. It's a cute shop and a fun experience for the kids.

Amber was very kind and patient with my son, it was a wonderful experience, thanks to Amber my son was able to feel calmer, she tried to talk to him and listen to him. It was his first haircut. Thank you so much. I will definitely return .
