My floors and carpets were left very clean! I like the fact that you do not leave behind chemicals that attract dirt on the carpet. The only issue I had was it took 2 full days for my carpets to dry! My socks were actually wet for two days which seemed excessive and I was told the carpets would be dry within 2-2 1/2 hours!
