Having the lap pool available as much as possible is a huge benefit.
Very well-rounded program with many desirable options. Never had a bad experience or disappointing class. All instructors were qualified and supportive.
Excellent Aqua class with Kevin!
There are great instructors and class participants.
Programs for seniors
The pool area was clean and well maintained with support readily available!
instructor was great!! staff at the desk were extremely friendly and helpful!! parking is WAY better than at UMLY location!!!
Silver sneakers.
I like the class variety, but more importantly I like the caliber of the instructors. The equipment is state of the art, and everyone is helpful and friendly.
We tried aqua deep for the first time, and it was awesome!
Especially like deep water classes, egym & stationary bikes
But there need to be more pool classes scheduled- always get filled & wait listed quickly. Add minimally a 2nd Wednesday class and 2 Friday classes.
My experience was great!
Good choice of classes. Facility is clean and modern.
Equipment
The instructors are so fun and funny. Most staff are friendly. The facilities are clean. There are a a lot of classes to choose from for me and my daughter. I’ve been a member of the ymca for almost 25 years and I won’t go anywhere near else.
Child daycare; summer camp; swimming: gym
My child enjoy the daily swimming, and the amount of activities they had during the day.
I had multiple kids attend camp this summer at various age levels. My kids absolutely love the camp and are so sad when summer is over. However, as a parent I do have a few suggestions:
1 – notify parents/guardians with regards to what “group” their child is in prior to the first day and ask that it be shared with the camper. This could streamline the process when the child is dropped off knowing where to place them.
2 – ensure there are at least 2 or more team members at drop off moving the car line and walk ups, along with 1 team member at the top to escort and disperse down in the camp area. The car line would often get excessively long which leads to safety concerns and anxious families. A prime issue was prioritizing walk ups.
3 – Although I understand that it is an outside camp experience, I would encourage the ymca to look into altering their processes on days of excessive heat and air quality. I understand that pool time is in the am for these kids due to the public pool hours being later; however, I think on certain days this should be altered and their pool time switched. The outdoor pool for most people is included in their memberships, camp is not. Therefore, ensuring that these kids are not overheated would be a top priority. I know on occasion the campers do move inside, but this year there were several days that the inside rotation was either not enough, or did not occur.
3 – for teen group, I would encourage a wider group of actives vs. repeat activities. I would also encourage the groups identify what can be done at locations. – i.e. Marsh creek, instead of the kids sitting, they could be engaging in a soft ball game, frisbee, or scavenger hunt. There are numerous places within an hour of WC that could have made the field trips more exciting. i.e. Wolf Sanctuary, Mount Gretna lake, Shady maple Buffett, Guppy Gulch water park, or simple things like a Pizza tour where the kids get to taste and vote on local pizza shops.
4 – Kona ice, I think this was a great idea, which I paid upfront the entire summer. It was a bit frustrating when I found out that everyone got it regardless of whether they paid or not and my teen was not there on most days, so it was a waste of money. I think it just needs to be refined and identified to ensure that parents aren’t putting out extra money if unwarranted.
Swim classes were very fun and my son enjoyed them!
I like the Zumba classes. The staff are friendly.
egym is great too.
Flo
The e-gym is great. Kelly and Donna are supper helpful and make the whole area a joy to be in.
I cannot rate this I have only used the pool.
I like the pools and fitness center
Deep water aqua class
Staff and exercise equipment, especially the circuit up stairs geared for seniors
Love the convenient location.
I'd really like it if the Sauna was always open. I understand the pool needs to be closed at certain times but the Sauna does not need to be
Yoga and pools
Variety of fun things for the kids. My son comes home everyday and says how much fun he has at camp

Love the 10 lane pool, clean locker rooms, common area to sit and the front desk staff is always very friendly and helpful.
I had hoped for more outdoor lap swimming times this summer: just from 6-9am for a month was too early for me. But not a show stopper.
