What does the Y do really well?

Our YMCA does MANY things extremely well; there is plenty of equipment, and such a wide variety of classes offered. I am a gym rat and have been a member at many gyms both here and in Arizona, and I have never ever had the facilities and services available to me. The Y is also kept very clean. We used one of the rooms for a birthday party when our granddaughter turned 5, and it was just awesome! The staff was great and took care of everything! We love the Y!

The men and women who work in the childcare area are amazing !!! My kids love going to their ymca school !!

Variety of all exercise classes both day and evening in large air conditioned rooms in addition to extremely large indoor pools which accommodate adult lap swimming.

What does the Y do really well?

We had swimming lessons with Alex Tu/Th 6:55pm and he's such a great swim instructor. In a short time, the kids have improved SO MUCH from their first day, and I've been pleased with and proud of the increased level of confidence my son has had in the pool. Kudos to Mr. Alex and all the swim instructors at YMCA Platte County South.

You have a lot of amenities like swimming pools, saunas etc, whereas a lot of health clubs do not.

What does the Y do really well?

Great community gathering area for all type of groups. Wonderful facility which allows various activities whether you want to participate in a group or by yourself. Two wonderful pools. One that allows for children and group classes and the other for your more dedicated swimmers. The swimming-lap pool is deep and has four lanes for use.

There are a number of various classes for all activity levels. The instructors of these classes are excellent and always prepared. There are separate locker rooms for men and women as well as two "family" changing/shower and bathroom rooms for use.

There is an excellent child area that is divided by age group. Infants, todders, young girls and boys with and area to play outside as well.

The staff are always accommodating. Love our greeter who works the counter every morning. She is wonderful, gets to know your name and has a great upbeat personality!
