Great equipment, pool and atmosphere.
I use many of the programs. I generally do water aerobics. I do get frustrated due to the lack of appropriate and consistent water temperature. There is always a excuse which I find frustrating.

Very convenient location. Decent equipment. If you time it right, it is not too crowded. It is a lot of fun teaching my 12 year old son about working out and fitness. Staff is kind and helpful.

The initial visit was very pleasant and everybody was exceptionally kind. The facility had more to offer than I expected. I am 72 year old male with variety of disabilities going all the way back to the early 1970’s.
The availability for weights, swimming, walking (especially in climate controlled areas), and a variety of social events including a coffee area, tables for playing chess or cards, and a reading area. All these amenities are included in the monthly membership.
Most importantly, I am beginning to develop a much stronger sense of community.
They have nice new equipment to work out on. I like the Yoga classes. I also like the lazy river.
The classes and instructors are excellent. It is great working out with friends.

This YMCA is friendly and has a relaxing atmosphere.
Really like small town atmosphere and seeing friends there. I'm frustrated with shortage of life guards and unpredictability of pool schedule. Wish online schedule could be updated in a timely manner. But love the lifeguards who are there.

Friendly and helpful staff
I was very impressed with the water exercise class and the condition of the pool . The hot tub was wonderful. I usually go to North Kansas City Y, but the pool and the dressing rooms etc. are in ill repair and since y has owned it the pool never drained, cleaned well or repaired. I am closer to that Y, but will take the drive to Platte till they do something about NKC!
