I particularly like the aquatics facility.
I am a lap swimmer.
The facilities and equipment provide what is needed for us.
Recently the steam room wasn't working properly. The blower or motor, whichever would come on and heat the steam room up and run for 3 minutes before shutting off completely off. Then the steam in the steam room would disappear completely as the steam room cooled down. This blower/heat cycle on, off and on again every three minutes was extremely inconvenient for my use of the steam room. I discussed the problem with Betsy the Manager of the Platte City YMCA. Several days later I used the steam room again and the problem had been corrected. I've since used the steam room four days and it's working great and properly. Thank you Betsy for great customer service.
People are usually friendly. Center is usually clean.I use the pool most of the time. it's important to me to have the pools open as scheduled. Two of the lifeguards stand out for their work ethic, Illysia (sp) and Tricia. They are always friendly and take their job seriously.
The staff are very attentive to everyone's needs. They also listen if you have concerns about unsafe acts in the workout room.
The instructors and participants are welcoming. They call me by name. I enjoy the classes .
The great people that work there and how they care for your health, the many classes that are offered. Love to see how they dress up for holidays.
I like that it’s not as crowded as other YMCAs. I like the longer River.. the instructors for the classes are very good.
Everyone was friendly. Loove you have an 87 degree pool. Good place.
Versatility. Friendliness. Cleanliness
The best current river in area
The girls that greet everyone. Even though I am old they dont say when I retire or when I get old they say When I grow up I want to be just like you!!!! So cute!
The atmosphere is welcoming, pleasant, and professional. From a user's perspective, I attribute that to the current manager (though I understand she is retiring.)
Water aerobics
It is clean, user friendly, and easily assessable.
Variety - free weights, machines, swimming, classes. I love the sauna. Nice people. Community feel.
All of the staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The community center has a lot of programs and classes for the senior member and trainers geared toward working with their clients to maintain their physical health.
Very well maintained and clean.
The dry sauna and pickelball are the reasons I come to the Y . The upstairs track is a third reason.
The people are welcoming and there is a lot to do there.
most everything
Friendly people and great classes.
Choices! All levels of movement! The staff is upbeat and helpful, which covers the Y members to each other the same.
great place to work-out The people at the front desk are very polite, always say hello to me in the morning. The life guards are very helpful, and interact with the people in the walking pool
really enjoy my mornings there plus have met some new friends
I enjoy the work out equipment. I drive from Smithville, Mo. to Platte County Community Center just to use your lazy river. The facility is super nice.
I really like the environment. I have met some great people and it is a healthy place to stay engaged with folks.
The cleaning staff is awesome! Everyone always helpful.
Friendly and honest people.
I like that I can workout with friends and watch out for each other. I like that there are many levels of fitness classes to choose ftom. I'm a senior and I love that there are many activities besides fitness classes to attend. Game days, art classes and speakers to help with information on different subjects. The dessert and soup and chili cook offs are fun. Also getting together with everyone for a Thanksgiving dinner is always a great time. There is always something going on at the Y.
It's a great place to meet old and new friends. There are a variety of exercise classes and a walking path. Also, it is great having a pool and a lazy river.

Cindy Bond was excellent showing us around the equipment and explain different things you can work on. Will be using more of the resources you have.
