I have a little girl, so unless I find someone to watch her when ever I want to go, I wouldn't be able to go work out. With the kid zone that they offer at the y I'm able to go work out with in a reasonable time frame. And I don't have to worry about her because I know she's taken care of great and I can check on her when ever I want. There's glass surrounding the wall that blocks the kids in and I can look in and see her while I'm getting water.
I enjoy working out there and have met some new friends and talked with old friends. The staff is very friendly and some even call me by my name. I am able to workout with having to to wait for an exercise cycle or rower, swim and relax in the sauna or whirlpool.
The staff is always kind! Sometimes it takes them a while to take care of messes, but they're always kind about It!

An organized, clean place with well trained personnel is an obvious benefit —- but for many from “kids zone” to “silver snickers” and all ages between the social community/interaction is just as valuable and appreciated. No part is lesser important.

It provides such a wide variety of opportunities and not just in regard to physical fitness. Just two examples....I am taking part in a cooking class of all things...also....a tax expert came in and discussed the ramifications of required minimum distributions and social security for seniors. Fantastic!
