Convenience of using facility - staff at desk friendly

Low traffic with availability for the machines and weights. Friendly staff. Enjoy that it's not congested and that the hot tub in the pool are almost always up and running.
Concerns would be you need how hot the locker rooms are which makes it difficult to leave there feeling dry. My wife notes the lack of fans in the women's locker room as there's only one and it's right next to the blow dryer so everyone turns it off. The fans in the workout area are always filled with heavy amounts of dust which is definitely a concern for respiratory quality. Not sure the suggestion box is read very often.

It’s a very nice facility and has everything I need.
I have only been there a few times. Have enjoyed my time there each time. However I do wish there was at least one or two enclosed dressing rooms.

Enjoy the water fitness classes. The use of lazy river for walking is also nice. The indoor walking/running track is also great. Staff is friendly.
I absolutely love the cardio dance classes! Disa and Starla are fabulous teachers!
I love the body pump and core class.
I appreciate the wider shower curtains. The hot tub seems fuller, hotter and the jets more powerful. Great! It's also been nice not having those lazy river spouts on. Good in theory, not when passing someone and get a face shot.

The facilities and equipment provide what is needed for us.
Recently the steam room wasn't working properly. The blower or motor, whichever would come on and heat the steam room up and run for 3 minutes before shutting off completely off. Then the steam in the steam room would disappear completely as the steam room cooled down. This blower/heat cycle on, off and on again every three minutes was extremely inconvenient for my use of the steam room. I discussed the problem with Betsy the Manager of the Platte City YMCA. Several days later I used the steam room again and the problem had been corrected. I've since used the steam room four days and it's working great and properly. Thank you Betsy for great customer service.
