It has been a relief to have 1:1 time to grow and deepen math skills.
We generally like the ease and flow of how Mathnasium works. Our only issue is that Luke thinks it is a bit easy and sometimes does not feel a connection to the different instructors.
He was tired when he took the assessment test at the beginning and thinks that some of the mathnasium work is a waste of time. I understand the template of how mathnasium works - both on current work and going back to fundamentals to build capacity / competence. I do think - however - it would be good to re-test or connect with student at various levels to get a more accurate baseline. Some of the "plan" that is being used for my sone is based on one test he took after a long day and he just skipped several questions to get to the end. I believe some of the data was taken has he did not know the information.
Small re-assessments might better pinpoint what he should be working on when he comes in each week.

My 3 sons have really enjoyed Mathnasium. It’s great they help with homework too!
Friendly friendly staff! Super flexible to schedule appointments- can change and change again at the last minute. Tutors are eager and patient to help. My daughter has progressed a ton in a year and a half. My only complaint is the price. It seems a little high but everything is these days!!
Mathnasium continues to be a wonderful resource for our son’s math enrichment. The staff is friendly and helpful and the program is engaging for our son.
My daughter has started showing some confidence with Math. She likes going to the sessions. We go twice a week. Staff is very friendly and can accommodate last minute schedule changes. I’m very happy with daughter progression.
We brought our 2nd grader to you in hopes of helping her learn to like and appreciate math. Now she loves it! Her attitude has improved 100% and that makes her more interested in doing the work and learning. Her scores have improved but it's her attitude that is the biggest surprise. She now understands the relationship between putting in the work and seeing better scores and admiration from her parents and teachers. When I ask her; "hey, do you want to go to Mathnasium after school?", she always says, "sure, I love that place".
Mathnasium has been great! Daughters been going for a little over a year and half. Her grades went from C’s and D’s to A’s. During homework time she used to cry and struggle now she completes work fast and feels confident and strong in math.
I'm glad to see the progress report that indicates my son has been improving his math skills.
8yo son about to start 3rd grade this summer avoided math studies--math seemed to frustrate him during the height of the pandemic.
After starting Mathnasium in early August he is more relaxed and actually is enjoying math.
His change regarding math was noticed by some friends, who signed up their 8yo son to start Mathnasium as well.
This place is magical - my son is motivated and having fun learning math. Absolutely no complaints other than that he wishes he could have gotten more done and wants to go several times a week. It’s a win-win. We have only been attending for a month. Very flexible scheduling Karen has been responsive to our needs.
I am thrilled with the progress my son has made over the past 8 months. There have been several instructors at Mathnasium who have made a big impact on him as well. We are going into a new school year fully prepared. Thank you!
Such a great experience! Mathnasium was able to help all three of my children get caught up in math. At a time when all the schools were closed, Mathnasium was there to help with one on one in person instruction!
We couldn't be happier with our experience. Our daughter went from slightly below grade level when we started, to nearly completing the next grade level's standards in a matter of months. She is now confident in her math abilities, so rather than dreading school math assignments she breezes right through them with time to spare. Save yourself the time and frustration of trying to help with math homework that we adults don't understand, and have the experts at Mathnasium take over.
My son went from went from dreading math problems as they were taught in his school(poorly), to looking forward to his Mathnasium classes and completing math problems with confidence and success. Some scheduling flexibility with his classes is a bonus.

The team at Mathnasium in LJ is fantastic. They are friendly and welcoming and make math fun. Our son has been going to Mathnasium for enrichment during the Covid situation since it was in person and since our son’s school only had math for 9 weeks on then 9 weeks off. Mathnasium kept his skills up during the off times and accelerated his skills during the on times. We highly recommend Mathnasium for math!
I feel so relieved knowing my son has regular, consistent help with his math homework as well as more in-depth teaching of foundational methodologies to build upon as he progresses through school.
