The Mathnasium methodologies are proven and both my kids have benefited immensely from the programs. The Carmel Valley center is especially good at recruiting great staff - who understand how kids think about math, how to work with them through both fundamental and advanced concepts, how to improve their focus and confidence and especially how to make math fun and part of life. This is our family's 8th year at the center. I would encourage families to consider starting kids out as early as 1st grade to get the most benefits. Making Math part of life early on, as opposed to taking "remedial action" in later school years makes a huge difference in how kids perceive math and science, and Mathnasium CV does a great job with younger kids.

The staff and program are terrific. OUr sons truly enjoyed their sessions and felt like they gained a greater understanding of math concepts while improving their foundaton for the school year ahead. It is easy to schedule your time slot at Mathnasium and very nice to get progress reports of skills your child has mastered and ones they are still working on. The system of self directed work and having one on one time with an instructor works very well, as well as having incentives for the kids along the way. I would definitley reccomend the DM Heights Mathnasium to anyone that would like support for their child or just to sharpen their skills and get a jump on math curriculum and concepts.

Our daughter was struggling a bit with math and this is an encouraging and supportive environment for her to get back on track.
Love the following about Mathnasium:
1. Self-paced learning. No pressure on students. Emphasis is on learning and understanding, rather than being bound by time and pressure.
2. Flexibility on timings and schedule. Cant express enough about how much it makes life easier. Not everybody has fixed schedules and will need to change things time to time.
3. Course content is grade appropriate and can advance from there.
Would like to see more:
1. Communication on the course plan schedule, like when is what topic going to be taught.
2. It will be a good idea if the working sheets can be shared with parents as well. Currently all parents can do is wonder what kind of learning their kids are doing.
