Our oldest son (now a 7th grader) has struggled with math really since kindergarten. It has given him a lot of grief and has required him to take years of supplemental math classes which really didn't seem to be providing any noticeable difference in his abilities. I was hesitant to suggest Mathnasium to him, as I thought he'd be upset that I was suggesting he take yet another class, but surprisingly he told me he would give it a try. And even more to my surprise he told me that he doesn't mind going at all. We have been attending Mathnasium consistently 2 days a week for the past year and I have seen remarkable improvements in his ability to work through math problems. His math skills have improved to such a level that he just recently was granted permission to graduate out of his Math support lab and take an elective of his choosing instead; he was so thrilled. His regular Math teacher (whom was also his teacher for 6th grade) has also commented on seeing an improvement in his ability to work through problems, ask questions, and stay caught up on his assignments. It would be foolish for me to think that Mathnasium hasn't been one of the biggest contributing factors to all of these amazing successes. I'm a big fan of Mathnasium and never miss an opportunity to share our experience with others with children with similar struggles.

Everyday both my boys go to mathnasium I ask them about it and whether they have learned anything. At first it was remedial then thy have admitted they are learning something new.

My daughter was initially discouraged to find out how far behind in math she was. However, she's quickly becoming much more confident in her math skills and just flying through the exercises. The staff has been incredibly patient and helpful, they've made math so much easier to understand for and I'm truly grateful.
Mathnasium has been wonderful. Our daughter went from hating math and dreading class to actually enjoying math class and having a 100% in so far it this semester. It's worth every cent to see her confident, successful, and proud of herself.

I have only great things to say about Mathnasium. My daughter attended for almost a year when she was in 3rd grade. We had to stop Mathnasium due to various factors, but it helped so much during that time. Because we had stopped coming, my daughter still didn’t have a solid foundation in math, so her struggles with math became even more apparent in high school. Begrudgingly she joined again (embarrassed because of her age), and she has made so much improvement in the very key foundational concepts of math. She is now passing her high school math classes with B’s as a junior after failing one semester as a sophomore and barely scraping by with D’s before that. The logic behind the program is brilliant, and I am so appreciative for how they have helped my daughter. It is truly invaluable. It’s not fun for her by any means at age 16, but with commitment and persistence she is learning and progressing!

Our kids voiced they weren't enjoying Mathnasium anymore (1 year in). My husband and I asked them questions as to why and then discussed them with Center Director Nicole. Nicole immediately developed an action plan to tweak their instruction to best fit both their learning styles and both boys have already noticed a difference. This outcome demonstrates the importance of #1 showing our kids that it is beneficial to speak up rather than just quit and #2 Mathnasium is truly vested in the success of their students.
