Mathnasium is a solid curriculum. It prevents inevitable holes in math learning by circling back to concepts the student might have forgotten. It gives students a chance to learn math more deeply than they can in school. All of my kids score well in math, and we believe it is because Mathnasium has kept their foundational math knowledge solid.

Mathnasium established the foundational math knowledge my kids now use in school. It's incredibly valuable. My 9th grader recently shared that his public school math teacher gives an overview of the math concept in school, but they don't really have time to teach it thoroughly. Just this week, my high schooler told me how grateful he is to have Mathnasium. The teachers in school don't have time to thoroughly teach each math concept before they move to the next one. My son relies on the Mathnasium instructors to help and also practice core concepts so he doesn't get holes in his math knowledge. We especially like the instructors at the local center.
Colin wanted to do "more math". He is already pretty good at Math, but wanted to do more and "learn new things". We tried a different national program (Kumon) and we just couldn't get to the point where he was learning new items. The program made him lose his confidence because they were not meeting him where he was and starting him with very beginner math. Mathanasium meets him where he is and boosts his confidence. He is learning new things and reviewing some. The key is explaining why we are doing something that is review and so far he gets that explanation. He looks forward to attending and enjoys the instructors.

My kids willing run into the classroom and enjoy working on their Math lessons. They usually want to stay longer. This has me we happened to other math programs we tried in the past.

Scheduling is easy. My daughter has been improving a lot in math. The coaches are great. The owner is easy to reach.
Very organized and the kids enjoy it. My only suggestion would be to include a pre and post test to show the learner's growth on each skill/unit.

Exceptional leadership and staff at Chapel Hill center. Very welcoming and excellent at communication with students and parents. We are so pleased with the tremendous progress our child has made with his math skills. Curriculum is very aligned with the grade level curriculum at school. Due to the extra weekly practice and skills taught at Mathnasium, he is able to keep up with all the new math material at school, and is able to demonstrate to teachers and peers what he has learned.
