Curriculum is easy to follow and fun. Staff is nice and friendly. Students actually like to come and work on their math skills without parents having to force them. I recently enrolled my grandson in Mathnasium's tutoring program to help improve his Math SAT score. Over the course of 10 private, one-hour sessions spread across three months, he saw a remarkable 100-point increase in his score!

The instructors at Mathnasium have been so patient and accommodating with my son. They have tried so hard to find ways to help keep him engaged and motivated to learn and subject that he otherwise dislikes. They have always done an amazing job staying in communication with our family about his progress and goals, despite my inability to be present in person because of my work schedule. We have been incredibly impressed with Mathnasium and with my son's progress in Math!
My son was being told to count on his fingers for addition in class. While this is valid start to math it isn't where you expect your 3rd grade child to be at. Especially when he tests in the top 2% of the school district for intelligence. He has an IEP but he isn't rated as needing assistance since he tested within his peers. To assist him we talked to family and friends. My brother in Illinois uses Mathnasium for his son and has seen amazing results. A friend from work who I admire told me about where his daughter worked as a tutor in Tulsa... Mathnasium again! After almost 2 years my son is going to be starting in a new math program for 5th grade that teaches math at an accelerated rate. I attribute this to South Tulsa Mathnasium.
I love having multiple tutors available whenever we are there. This allows for multiple explanations and teaching methods that you see the light bulb when a child understands the way to work the problem themselves.
