My son loves Mathnesium Short Pump. Mathnesium has strengthened his math skills and his confidence in learning math at school. The teachers there are very friendly and supportive. Scheduling is easy and very flexible. My son really loves going there after school to finish his math homework. Awesome learning center!

We have been coming to this location for couple of years and always had great experience. My kids are definitely working ahead of what they are learning in their classrooms, which really builds their confidence and independence. They make customized learning plan for your child and offer homework help, which is great. I would highly recommend to any parent who is looking to improve their kids Math skills.

The team at the Mt. Vernon, VA location (e.g. Marcus & Russell) is easy to work with in terms of scheduling and other administrative tasks. My son's understanding of the concepts and confidence has increased significantly over the years that he's been going to Mathnasium. Lena (sp?) is currently one of his favorite tutors because she is closer in age to him and, in his words, is "very smart". You can tell her that a student said that, but don't say which one - I don't want to embarrass him! The curriculum and the approach makes sense and works for my son. It ensures that they are focusing on the areas where he needs the most help. During the school year, it helps that he brings homework there for assistance and to ensure the tutors know what is most important for him to learn at that moment so that he understands what is being taught in school. This has had a positive impact on his grades. The money spent has been an investment in my son's education and his future, and his successes are evidence that it has been worth it.
I love how the teachers require students to talk about their mathematical problem solving. This really supports deeper understanding of concepts. The online program and teachers are responsive to our student's strengths and areas of need. Our child enjoys practicing easier skills for confidence and fluency and being challenged with new math topics and problems.
