Student Testimonials
Amazing teachers, challenging & ever-changing class sequences & lots of class options.
Some thoughts to consider: It would be really nice if Black Tag members could rent yoga mats at no cost. There aren't really many other perks associated with membership (contrast with Barre3, which offers free childcare and year-round 20% discounts on retail plus free online classes with their membership). I lost my yoga mat and had to shell out quite a bit of cash to rent at Core Power until I had time to buy a new one. As a Black Tag member for 2+ years, it would have been nice to have free mat rental as a courtesy.
Incredible instructors
I love HPF with Sarah on Sunday nights!
Love the classes and the staff is great!

The classes are amazing and the staff is very friendly and nice!
Love it
The teacher Kayte Battlez! She was encouraging, thoughtful, and provided great technique in her teaching.
The studio is nice and the staff in which I met this day were helpful and friendly.
Not to mention, cute yoga clothes to purchase (in the case I forgot mine).
The community is so friendly! Even when I’m not feeling motivated, I get encouragement from teachers, staff and fellow yogis alike.
It is awesome!!! Best place for hot yoga!! Instructors are clear, calm, and wise!!
I used to be in a lot of pain from stress and now I’m almost pain free. My anxiety is way lower!
Love the teachers, staff, and people! CPY NW Portland is such a warm and inviting community to be a part of!
Good workout
Excellent teachers! I took Sarah and Rachael’s CP2 classes. Both were well paced and satisfyingly challenging. Thanks!
I love Corepower and the classes you provide. I always feel great after. I live and regularly practice at Corepower in Chicago but I love that I have the option to attend studios in different cities. However, I felt that the studio was overheated at the NW location for both the C2 and Yoga Sculpt class I took during my visit to Portland. Both classes felt over 90 degrees. People were getting dizzy and having to leave the room. I felt it was too hot for a Vinyassa practice given the amount of inversions and cardio.
I really like your facilities (clean shower and locker room), the challenge and flow of the c1 class, and the cleanliness and light of your studios.
I really enjoyed my first CorePower class with Kema. She was super kind and friendly, and made me feel at ease when I expressed I hadn't done hot yoga in a while and am not a yoga expert. Her class was challenging but not overwhelming, and I did not feel pressured or embarrassed when I needed to modify a pose to my comfort level. I left class feeling energized and happy, and can't wait to come back! The music was fantastic, as was the lavender scent during savasana. I would have enjoyed a little more time in savasana at the end of the class, but it was still a nice, relaxing end to a great class.
Friendliness, energy of the team and convenience of location.
quality!
The convenience of a variety of times through out the day was my second favorite reason I would recommend your studio. The first was the instructors quality was at a high caliber.
Cardio sculpt is the best.
Loved the instructor, and the space!
Great teachers, clean studio
Well trained and consistent
Consistent. Effective. Amazing staff who are knowledgeable and effective. Feel like home to me.
Great teachers which make great classes!
I always leave feeling relaxed and feel like I have had a great workout!
The instructors are so helpful, personable and seem to really care about your practice.
While visiting the Portland area I happened upon this yoga studio offering a week free so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm a yoga teacher from So. Cal and opted for their advanced class. I must say I haven't sweat that much in a long time. I had a great work out and everyone working at the studio was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to see me. I'll be going back next time I visit my daughter.

The passion and intensity of the instructors and classes. Thank you!
