Great instructors w. lots of hands on assistance to deepen your practice
Every class offers something different depending on how I feel in my practice for the day, I love all of the instructors and look forward to taking more classes in the future.
To begin with, the CorePower studio is pristine. It's a great environment for a yoga experience. The instructors for the three classes I've taken have been wonderfully welcoming and kind to me, as a new student. And I've enjoyed the classes - a step up in intensity from the more traditional yoga I've done, which I really like.
I liked the pace and the length of the class- not easy but not aggressive. The temp was just right (very Goldilocks) and most importantly, I felt clean and renewed post class- not exhausted, and drained.
Terrific, challenging classes with consistently great instructors. The studio environment is very pleasant.
The instructors are enthusiastic and encouraging. The exercises are challenging, innovative, and varied. On top of this, the music is energetic and fun. This all makes for a great work out!
Clean
Friendly
Hi, I love Chris' class it is always amazing. My issue with CorePower yoga is consistency. Sometimes I have a great experience like in Chris' class other times it am hugely disappointed and regret spending the 23 dollars. I recently took a class (not at glover park) and I made the mistake of being near the music hook ups and could see the instructor constantly checking her phone for what I assume were notes on the proper sequencing.
Upbeat music and encouraging teachers
I love the variety of classes and I really appreciate the tips and reminders each instructor gives as we move through practice. Makes me feel like I walk out of each class a little better at yoga.
Great work out, friendly teachers!
I love the classes and the instructors!
Great class. My only complaint is that I know I needed some hands on adjustments b/c I have needed them in every other Yoga class I have ever taken. I did not see the instructor give hands on to a single class participant. That should be something every instructor does regularly.
Staff/instructors are reliable and high quality.
Warm and welcoming always.
I like how CorePower offers a variety of different classes so I can mix it up. I also like how there are so many locations around DC, close to both my house and my office, so I am able to go more often and can be more flexible with my workout schedule.
I love the atmosphere and (most of) the instructors. The clientele is also great and Sandy's dog!
I love how friendly it is and the feeling I get when I enter the studio. The workout is perfect for me and the times provided are also great. An experience I would recommend to all my fitness friends!
The instructors are great and very passionate about what they do. The times and location are convenient. The class times/instructors are also consistent and reliable.
small, clean studio with incredibly breathable heated space! most heated studios i've been too are stuffy and muggy - not conducive to my asthma; but at CorePower the heat and humidity is cycled in a way that I can enjoy the benefits of the heat. The breathing technique encouraged by CorePower teachers (ujjayi) has even helped increase my lung capacity - very beneficial for my asthma. Having gone through teacher training (MA) and the extension program (DC) at CorePower, I truly appreciate and admire CorePower as a company (and plan to audition this summer when I move back to Boston). It really does provide an excellent environment for universal yoga middle ground - it's not super spiritual, but it does not ignore the mindfulness aspect that is so intrinsic to yoga. Teachers are encouraged to tailor their classes to an intention via language, music and asanas. There is no yoga studio/company out there quite like CorePower that not only believes that yoga is for everyone, but provides variety so that everyone can find their own 'yoga.'
Everything..classes, teachers, yogi's..great place

I just moved to the Glover Park area and had checked out CPY a few months ago. I went again after a long time, last Friday, and took a class with Meredith B. She was SO nice, and lead one of the best yoga classes I have ever taken. Yoga is something I just do every once in a while, but her class made me want to come more regularly!
